The Auvohm lets out a hearty chuckle at the mention of 'lord', but decides to play along when he replies. "Lord 2351. You may refer to me as Juik, the assigned Diplomat for your species. We recognize your intentions to construct a diplomatic outpost, and will allow it under the circumstances. As a sign of good faith, we ask you transmit a file including your history and culture for our archives. We also request your armed forces return to your home star system. In return we guarantee the safety of this outpost so long as your intentions and actions align peacefully."

A video Transmission begins again,

"As our diplomatic complement include a large number of Battle Thralls, we would be derelict in our promises of Peace, Prosperity and Security to them if we allowed for them to go unescorted. We the Ur-Quan Deny this request. However we will provide a file. All these words are true, We the Ur-Quan never lie, it is a weakness to lie."

Transmission cuts off except for a file transfer.

The File includes a single document containing only these lines.

We evolved on a hostile world, the descendants of solitary hunters.
In those ancient days, there was no Kohr-Ah or Kzer-Za, only the Ur-Quan.
We explored our world, and then the space beyond.
Here we met the six races of the Sentient Milieu, which we joined as partners.
It was on a routine planetfall that one of our Milieu scoutships first met the Dnyarri.
They were evilly intelligent creatures who could control the minds of others.
They wanted to rule the universe. We could not resist them.
For thousands of years, we were unthinking slaves to the Dnyarri.
The Dnyarri had a special liking for us Ur-Quan
so they began to tinker with our genes. They built two Ur-Quan sub-races
one Green, the thinkers and planners
the other Black, the warriors and laborers.
When the martyred genius Kzer-Za gave us the secret to defeating the Dnyarri, we destroyed them.
Then we decided that we would never again be slaves.
We would follow the Path of Now and Forever.
We decided to enslave or imprison all other intelligent life in the galaxy.
We had slave-shielded one world, when we learned that the Black Ur-Quan
under a new leader, Kohr-Ah, had devised the Eternal Doctrine
which called for the `cleansing', the annihilation, of all non-Ur-Quan sentient life.
Before we could stop them, they burned the Yuptar race's homeworld
and were on their way to the planet of the last remaining free race.
We met the Kohr-Ah in orbit above that planet. We confronted them. They would not submit. We fought.
When our battle was done, the Kohr-Ah were defeated.
We exiled them, sent the remnant of the Kohr-Ah fleet into the unknown reaches of the galaxy.
Then we began our own migration, moving around the galaxy in the opposite direction of the Kohr-Ah.

In our twenty thousand years along the Path of Now and Forever
we have dominated thousands of species, yes
but we have saved hundreds from extinction.
You imagine the threat of unknown invaders, or alien pestilence borne on the solar wind.
We have seen these. But you do not acknowledge your own worst enemy, yourselves.
We have found dead worlds without number, planets ravaged by atomic fire or gaian collapse.
These planets were not rendered sterile by outside forces.
They bear sad testament to the effects of unrestrained instinct and emotion
or simple ignorance.
We will prevent such mistakes.

[If it wasn't clear, you can have your own nearby. Not specifically the Ur-Quan station.. Just in the same system.]
"Okay, look like there was a miscommunication, they actually want us to set up our own station." All the captains of trade fleet relax as the messager from Comm selection relayed the news.

" That a loads off my frail heart." Said one of the captains.

The Foreign minster of the Shadow Empire took to the broadcast system on the planet to make a speech to the people of the Shadow Empire. " Fellow Citizens of our Great Empire.. A few days ago we had made contact with a primitive race on a planet.. They are non space age and they would make for perfect Slaves. That is why on this very day our Empire is sending a small colony force that will take the planet and make it ours !. We will make this race of people our Slaves and they will work in our mines and other places we refuse to work. We are better than them.. We are superior than them !. They will yield before us. " The Transmission cut off and a image of the ships heading to the new planet was showed..Escorted by a small fleet of light ships This was the first colony ship sent that was public.. Their were others that were not public.

The science ship was sent to survey more ships as a constructor ship was sent to create a frontier outpost in the new sector to make sure nobody else enter the system and took the other possible planets in it.

A few days later the science Ship of the Shadow empire reports back that they have found life on a planet. Although the life on the planet appears to be rather non space faring and nothing more. A decision was sent to the science ship to study the creatures and then at a later date decide what to do with them.

A day later a transmission was intercepted with a greetings. The person never stated what race they were from and only that they wanted to welcome to the community and some council. The Emperor already knew his response when he responded to the transmission
" Thank you for the welcome unknown creature of the universe. But please understand we do not want any more contact than a message at this time. Please do not come to my sector or my planets is that understood unknown creature ? Although I am not curious about what this Galactic council you speak of and what it stands for... Does it do anything for the galaxy ?. And what is it goals "

The Emperor then cut off transmissions again and let out a deep sigh. More Aliens to deal with ?. And what is worse.. They seem to already formed some sort of council which alarmed him.. He must know its purpose and if he could join it.. But be allowed to be away from everyone else.. He hated others and will not stand sitting next to a non Shadow Demon.

Unbeknownst to either side, the Vulpes Regime was listening in on the conversation the entire time, using special technology given to them by the Ur-Quan to aid in keeping the other thralls under control. The Vulpes Archon's ears dart up with excitement upon hearing this transmission in particular. He thinks to himself, what an excellent opportunity to get on the Ur-Quan's good side! He then sends a transmission to the Shadow people. "You seem to fear alien contact more than anything, esteemed Emperor. How would you like to be forever encased underneath an impenetrable slave shield by our protectors, the Ur-Quan? All you have to do is surrender to them and choose fallow slavery. Alternatively, become a Battle Thrall and fight alongside us to deliver cruel justice to the Hierarchy's enemies!"

We will not submit to slavery - ever. If these are the only diplomatic terms you intend to offer, then there's a fundamental difference in ideology here that will never be remedied."

Foreign minster Karntal Responded on behalf of the Sleeping Emperor " I speak on behalf of the Emperor and I must say that I reject your offer. Why would we become a Slave to another alien Race when you already know we fear alien contact in every form. We do not want to have to deal with any alien contact be and thus we reject your offer as it means we would have to interact with other civilizations. We do not want war we do not want anything but peace and to be left alone.. We do not want to become battle thrall for another race or Fallow slaves.. We want to be left alone and that is that " The Transmission is cut and the Foreign minster lets out a long sigh. Why did everyone want to make contact with his people ?. They asked to be left alone is that so hard for people to do.. More importantly.. how did that.. Creature figure out a way to contact them. No matter he will deal with it in the morning.

You misunderstand we protect these races from horrors from beyond this plane of existence, without the Hierarchy they would be derelict fighting amongst themselves as darker threats wiped them from existence. However Independence of Alien species is too dangerous for us, the Ur-Quan Kzer-Za to tolerate, so we grant each species our boon of slavery. We offer species a great help to their selves. The Dnyarri were darker than we could ever hope to be. You have heard our words. And we continue, good-bye Sa-Juik and may your people live beyond the dark shade that is nearly upon us."

The Transmission is cut off. And the flotilla continues escorting the construction ship to it's destination.

[Oh man, Fanatical Individualists vs the Enslavers. What will happen?]

[Admittedly Ur-Quan slavery isn't really slavery , rather it is vassalage, and a fairly loose vassalage at that.]
[I love how there seems to be a Cold War developing between our Hierarchy and almost everyone else.]
[I wonder why... :p]

[At least until it gets hot, no? But can't really blame anyone. No one wants to be enslaved, and I can't imagine most species believe the Ur-Quan have their best interests in mind.]
[Like for example the Ur-Quan rebuilt the Vulpes Regime's navy admittedly they destroyed it first, but that's irrelevant. They're really just nice guys. :p]

[And then the Vulpes have been the most enthusiastic Hierarchy enforcers ever since. I'm going for a "cute and overenthusiastic yet somewhat fascist" characterization here. That's why I picked Military Junta.]

The Shadow Empire Colony Ship arrived on the planet and hastily Renamed it Shadow colony. Once it touched down on the planet and made a colony area. The first Shadow Demons set foot on a planet that was not their home world and they hated it. Only with a little prodding did the colonist go out of the ship and explore the surrounding areas. But even that was done with skepticism. So far the adventure was going OK.. But it could be better.

[ I have to think of some colony events to happen, But in the meantime hope this will do ]

Unbeknownst to the Ur-Quan, the home star of the Meritocracy is a flurry of activity as their fleet mobilizes. Headed by Yochol, the Congress Of Great Minds that leads the Meritocracy has made the ultimate decision that the Ur-Quan are ideologically opposed in all ways to the Auvohm way of life. The debate was thusly, bide our time to build up forces? Or delay. Either way, The assault on this 'diplomatic' station would be swift, prisoners would be taken and studied, and their technology analyzed for the long-haul. Indeed, the Auvohm were preparing for the long fight, willing to fight to keep their independence. The question was when. [As in, it's not happening as of yet.]

[Edit: Off for the night.]
