Empire Description

The origins of the Zorphax lead up to an event 50 million years ago. A series of comets impacted the planet and caused tidal waves all over the planet, many of the islands were fully submerged in water, with 95% of all life on land killed.Tectonic activity was also triggered, with thousands of volcanoes across the planet erupting and releasing a layer of ash.
This all led up to about a total of 90% of life being killed, with the global food chain in taters. It was a miracle that the ancestors of the Zorphax had survived.

Though they did and they thrived, with the high levels of oxygen and lack of natural predators, the Zorphax grew from the average height of 20 cm, to 1 and a half meters. Another miracle that helped the Zorphax survive, was the ability to Photosynthesis but with out the light energy required. This used the high levels of Co2 and water to make oxygen, meaning that the Zorphax could live underwater nearly indefinitely with them being able to recycle the Co2 and O2, the only major problem was if they drowned.

With this, the Zorphax spread out across the world and settled on the archipelago of Islands, forming wide and distinct nations and cultures. it was in one of the larger island chains Galapagos (Pretty much Indonesia), where civilization started. As a variety of republics that traded and attacked each other, slavery was highly used and the noble family's no longer content with being merchants declared them selves kings. This happened over thousands of years with multiple nations rising and falling in till 0 KO, where the Kariatch Volcano exploded, the nations were set into pandemonium, in till a prophet arrived, his name was Warp.

Speaking of gods will, he went around doing miracle acts and saving the Zorphax from extinction. The kings and queens of the nations were deposed and the place was offered to the prophet. Who refused, stating that it would be against gods will if he came into control and said that the various nations should untie into a confederacy, where everyone had equal rights, in a true republic. The nations united and agreed and stayed in prosperity, in till 50 years later where Warp died, he told his followers not to praise him and call him their god, but to call him a fellow man and respect others for their beliefs and to ban slavery, something that he had campaigned for but had failed.

After he died, the Confederacy was in chaos over what to do, eventually after a few years of chaos, it was said that the Confederacy should spread across the world uplifting the natives and bringing them up to a standard of civilization and to follow the prophets last words of guidance and free all slaves. It took years but after many failed attempts, a armada was made that could deal with anything that the ocean could send at it. Spreading across the world, the armada encountered other civilizations, some on par with the confederacy, others in a primitive state of nature.

There culture spread across the world, with new technology making it viable, the steam engine making steam ships and factories possible. An agricultural revolution that increased crop output by 100%, electricity that gave power to the masses, banning the last verged of the dark ages to the past, and more wonderful inventions that are too many to name.

This progressed fine in till a man named Fegelein seized control through a riot in the capitol. With the military on his side, Fegelein went on a conquest, seeking world domination. A bloody world war started that nearly ended up with Fegelein winning, if it wasn't for Vladimir Trotsky, one of the generals in the army, who wanted a return to the republic. Using a invention called the atom bomb, with with a few scientists that disliked Fegeleins racial genocide, they dropped the bomb over the Battleship that housed Fegelein and wiped him out ending his regime.

Vladimir set up a Warpist system, that believed in equal rights for the common populace and also set up a system of social schemes, with a living wage, a natinol health service and pensions for the old. He also gave people the freedom of speech and united the world under his confederacy, through peace and diplomacy, not arms and war. Due to this Vladimir was elected minister of the confederacy, for the next 50 years up to today.

But the Zorphax nation stands on a new era, the invention of the warp drive makes FTL and inter star travel possible. People wish to explore the cosmos. But the Zorphax race must be vigilant, some of Fegeleins supporters still live and may flee to colonies and rebel and who knows what life is out there, how horrible and warlike it may be.

Or the Zorphax may become like the many other species in the galaxy, extinct
((I take this as fine, want to make sure it is before starting))

The Royal Administration of Defence and Logistics

Several high ranking leaders of the Noble-officer corps as well as the Crown Prince have gathered with two leading members of the Royal Armament Research Division the Crown Prince rises to speak "The Ur-Quan message proclaims a threat to our sovereignety, my Father will be focused on the dealing with the Khendros. It will be up to us to ensure our defensive measures are adequate if conflict is at hand...Despite our navy and army, we havnt had a conflict in two generations." The crown prince looks to the scientists present and nods to them "Have the Magnetic rifles and cannons been thoughroughly prepared?" The Scientists salute and bows before speaking "Yes Crowned one. The high-speed magnetic weaponry has proven to tested fully and should allow our troops to work sufficiently incase of conflict. The ships have of the royal navy have also been prepared with Mass-Drivers as well as experimental Plasma Throwers. As you know our technolegy is advancing faster in the last 100 years than ever before." The Crown prince nods "let us hope it shall not come to conflict. The Crownship must maintain its sovereignity, lest the people suffer...

Phenotype: Avian
Avian_group.png

Traits: Industrious, Quick Learners, Solitary
Ethos: Fanatic Individualist, Materialist
Government: Direct Democracy
Homeworld: Waghoo
Planet type: Arid
FTL type: Wormhole

Short Description of Species:
The Dhogans don't believe in groups, at all. They are all separate beings, without a common goal. They breed for pleasure, nothing more, and leave their children behind as early as they can. This has created a natural ability to learn quickly, and by themselves. They seldom listen do others, and rarely goes away from their natural instincts and ethos, as their natural conclusion is that they should rule over themselves, none else. The Dho never had countries, religions or factions. Their technology and culture was mostly produced for personal gains. They do not have a natural sense of curiosity, but not a distaste for the unknown either. In actuality, they did not care about "what we know and do not know." When absolutely needed, they have worked together, but then usually in a truly democratic form of group, which would be disbanded whenever their goal was reached.
They do have wings, which has proven quite useful in their overpopulated cities (which are completely disorganized.) They cannot fly quickly, though, so their wings don't help them much in dire situations and combat.

Short Description of Empire and History:
Some Dhogans developed the technology FTL flight about six hundred human years before they actually bothered to use it. It was expensive, and worse of all, a lot of them had to work together to create whole wormhole stations. It was instead used in smaller scales for rapid transport of resources. At some point they recognized that the individual's share of resources grew smaller and smaller, and after the powerful died, there was none left to object.
They agreed to adopt their group system in a large scale to colonize other planets. They even agreed to choose a representative, something considered the biggest moment in all of Dhogan history. Perhaps they reformed just in time to deal with other upstart races.

Chancellor Wa Khaaraf zu is a pretty normal Dho, but with a charisma second to none. He is however later killed by opponents of his idea to become a vassal of the Ur-Quan Confederacy. Jyt Khaaral zu replaces him as chancellor early on, and rather sought a deal with the Crownship of Sa.

Phenotype: Mammalian
Traits: Nomadic, Resilient, Rapid Breeders, Solitary
Ethos: Individualist, Xenophobe, Militarist
Government: Military Republic
Homeworld: Domi
Planet type: Arid

Short Description of Species:
The Pteropodidae Evolved from a semi-bipedal bat-like creature on an arid planet.
While their ancestors once had wings and were almost blind, they eventually lost capability of flight.
Recent advances in technology have ensured mandatory eye implants in order to maintain near-perfect sight in order to better serve the ruling empire.

Short Description of Empire and History:
In ancient times, they used to be quite the expansionist empire.
However due problematic encounters with outside species,
they now mostly keep to themselves within the borders of their own systems.

They rarely accept trade with aliens outside of the systems they own,
and will be openly hostile to any whom intrude upon their borders.
Even if they would join an alliance or be offered vassalage, they would still be wary due to their somewhat paranoid nature.

Empire Name: Benevolent Confederation of Met
Empire Adjective: Confederate/Metni
Phenotype: Reptillian #6
Traits: Communal, Natural Sociologists, Enduring, Slow Breeders
Ethos: Xenophile, Pacifist, Spiritualist
Government: Moral Democracy
Homeworld: Hak
Planet type: Arid
Short Description of Species: The Haknin are a species evolved in the mouths of the vast tunnel networks of its arid and rocky homeworld. They possess an extremely varied diet, and have managed to integrate many of the lesser lifeforms in their planet in trivial roles, from using moss-like fungi to gather air humidity to feeding their waste products to small hard-shelled decomposers. Because of this creativity, Hakni technology is considered the gold standard in biotech in their galaxy arm, and the average Hakni small town is vibrant and ecletic.
Short Description of Empire and History: Hakni society was from the beginning a rather decentralized and highly organic net of intergovernmental relations, such that they never developed "nations" proper. Different languages and traditions did arise, yes, but never evolved into divisive nationalistic politics. This opened the way for a very quick integration into a world government once communication technology evolved far enough, generating a boom of technology culminating into the development of FTL travel.

This is actually a mashup of two different empires I'm planning for Stellaris. I was building an Empire focused mostly on happiness and stability. I guess in here I'll be that reasonable observant that gets annexed in the eigth turn and genocided by the 13th? :p

EDIT: I only now noticed this,as it might be confusing: "Met" is the name of the Hakni home star.

"Long time ago our world - N'Rhoth - was corrupted by a powerfull being called The Old One. His creations taken straight from deepest nightmares roamed the land ready to obey their masters commands. N'Rothi were used as slaves during building of mighty temples dedicated to The Old One and as bloody sacrafices for his very glory. N'Rhothi worked, breed and died in endless cycle of servitude for The Old One...
...untill the Day of The Divine.

N'Rhothi led by nameless hero called by everyone The Divine stood aginst The Old One and wage long bloody war aginst him and his servants. The Divine slained The Old One and absorbed his power smiting rest of the nightmarish creatures out of the N'Rhoth. With that The Divine ended Age of Slavery and took N'Rhothi into new bright future.

Even when the old age has ended the it left scars over the mind of N'Rhothi. Used to slavery and bloody sacrafices those habits stayed among them for the rest of their life.

The Divine useing the power stolen from The Old One granted N'Rhothi three gifts.
The first gift was long life - reward for their endurence during times of servitude
The second gift was hidden psychic potential - reward for their strong will during even most dire situations.
The third gift was a warp drive - reward for their ambition to become free.

The Divine sealed rest of the power in The Mark of Divine for his legacy to live on.

The Divine recived a vision during his last days. The Old Ones in great numbers and great strength were planning to invade The Galaxy with one goal - to enslave not only N'Rhothi but also every other life. The Divine knew they could not face them with their current strength. They had to aim for the stars and seek aliens - both allied to The Old Ones or possible help aginst them. Either way only N'Rhothi knew what was coming and only they could unite Galaxy under one banner and try to save it or die trying."

Kaheshi missive to the Khendros, addressed directly from the King

"A meeting in peronal would provide me with a closer contact to who i am speaking with, if you so desire the Royal Navy shall meet you in orbit and i shall board one of your ships to discuss this further in person."

Very well then, you will be granted an audience with supreme governor of the nearby sector, will that be enough?

Signal from the Waghoo Space Organization

I, Chancellor Wa Khaaraf zu is confused with your societies. You work together like the Qwuush (Ant-like beings), something which disgusts our people. We ask you to refrain from any further contact, let the Dhogans take some planets to live on, and we will leave you around. Conflict is not needed, and is a product of beasts.

Species Name: Yoggoth
stellaris_avatar_molluscoid_11.png

Species Adjective: Yoggoth

Empire Name: Tenet of Yogothllor

Adjective: Yogolloth

Phenotype: Molluscoid

Traits: Intelligent; Quick Learners; Slow Breeders

Ethos: Fanatic Materialist; Xenophile

Government: Science Directorate

Homeworld: Yogothllor

Planet type: Ocean

Short Description of Species:

The Yoggoth began their evolutionary journey in the oceans of Yogothllor, as predatory cephalopods. In order to survive in a dark brine, the early Yoggoth adapted a biological cunning and curiousity. Not only using their swiftness, but also primal tactics to hunt food, and escape larger predators. Eventually, as they grasped the capacity to use rocks and bones as tools, the Yoggoth took their next step in the migratory evolution: they wandered ashore, on the archipelagos and lagoons that made up Yoggothllor's scant landmass.

Within little time (compared to the evolution of other species), the Yoggoth grew into sapience, soon after setting their first tentacles on land...

Biologically, they're essentially octopodes here on earth. They look like lumbering lumps of meat, but are intelligent, fast, with advanced senses and other locomotive capabilities.

Short Description of Empire and History:

Coming soon...

Your message scares the Dhogans. You speak of "society," "to serve" and "contribution," alien words to the Dhogans. Speak no more, the Dhogans wish to hear nothing. Qwuush.

Kaheshi Missive

"Indeed so, i hope for a proper and direct dialogue with your people for the better prosperity of both of our species and empires."

The Yoggoth value science above all, do they not? If they agree to be enlightened they will be offered more of it than they thought possible and may serve the Khendros empire as such scientists, ensuring maximum efficiency and keeping them at their best occupation.

It is all right, you might want to work on a more detailed description but that one can certainly serve.
