I was playing on the 400 star map, and the game was running smoothly for the first 200 years, but now it's slowed down so much, that I can't even click on buttons when unpaused.
(I'd say it was running even better than in 2.1 for the first 100y)
Reducing the graphics to minimum and setting the resolution from 1080p to 720p seems to do little to no difference.
According to the task manager stellaris eats up only about 1300MB of memory and 40% of the processor.
Anyone else having these problems in the late game?
Are there any other things that I can do to boost the game? Where do you think the bottleneck lies? In the game program itself?
(I believe It started when I decided to terraform 15+ planets to Gaia, but that is only a correlation that i observed, I have no proof that it's the cause)
Also, do you think, that the number of ships in the galaxy has a significant impact on the game performance?
Should the Paradox just reduce the number like some mods do?
Maybe also a number of planets, pops, etc...?
