Stellaris or HOI4 on 6th June

Just wondering how many people will continue to play Stellaris after HOI4 launches. Stellaris in it's current form for me tends to get the same after a few games. I'm sure with PDs continued development of games, in the future Stellaris could be something that has a great replayability to it. I just feel that at the moment it is lacking any true depth to make each game feel different.

From what I have seen of demostrations of HOI4, it seems that HOI4 will have a much greater replayability at launch. So just wondering whether people think they will switch to HOI4 until Stellaris has more expansions to flesh it out?

Stellaris. However, I'll be cycling it with Total War: Warhammer and Overwatch.

I'm only going to keep playing it in multiplayer until an expansion turns up. I will certainly spend more time in HOI4, though probably not as much as I have in EU4

I bought a copy of stellaris and i've been playing a lot but once hoi4 comes out i may as well uninstall it.

I'm going to stop stellaris for a bit to try hoi4 and then going to cycle them altogether with eu4 and ck2 (whichever will strike my fancy)

But there are so many releases coming...
So many to try, not enough time to try them all...

Personally I'm going to indulge in some TW:warhammer, then maybe go back to some proper strategy gaming in form of multiplayer dominions 4.

I have no interest in HOI4; and TW:Warhammer is not on Linux yet so I will stick with Stellaris. I have limited playtime so I haven't completed my first campaign yet!

I will probably cycle between EU4, Stellaris, and HOI4. I played CK2 enough (somewhere around 2k hours and I still haven't reunited the Roman Empire, let alone India, ugh). I need the other games to catch up.

i love ck2 but i think i am waiting for ck3 before i return to that game. As for if i will play stellaris depends on if asimov is out and how good HOI4 is, if it has depth like EU4 and ck2 than i can see myself not hitting the play button on stellaris for months.

Definitely HoI. I have my CFA L3 on 5th June so that night I party and from the 6th... pure, uninterrupted industrial age warfare.

Im staying the heck away from TW as my experience with CA these last 5+ years has been abysmal. I'll probably pick it up on a GOTY special edition on a 75 percent sale in a year or so.

Not sure the games are in competition.. they are so different. I think I will still be playing Stellaris myself. Scifi is just way more my scene than ww2.

I personally HATE the total war games... I have zero interest in them.

Definitely to HoI 4. I've already sunk about 50-60 hours into stellaris and like you OP, I find that after the early game, the mid game till endgame just plays out more or less the same. I've had quite a few restarts and only 3 complete games simply because the exciting part is the early game. HoI 4 will offer a lot more replayability and more importantly, a variety of starts. Start as a Major, minor nation or a real insignificant minor and try to survive and prosper, I think I will find that a lot more fun.

I could go on but I don't want to turn this thread into a Stellaris vs Hoi 4 debate

Will definitely try HOI. I love WWII stuff. But not yet sure how much I will like it. Not a big fan of EU games, unfortunately.
