Stellaris multiplayer, connection failed [2.0]

Im having a problem connection to other multiplayer games i dont have any mods enabled and the game checksun is (daf0) , whenever i try to connect to other multiplayer games the game is connecting and then after 10-20 secs i receive 'connection failed'.
I tried the following:
opening steam as administrator, Turning off the firewall, and re-installing the game but nothing worked.
pls help
Edit: updated to 2.0.1 problem stil present and checksum is vanilla

My friends and I have the same problem. We have the same versions, verified files, firewalls and anti-virus programs are all off.
I'v managed to get in one 2 out of 10 games that my friends have made and they have failed to join all of the games i'v made(or each other).

can anyone help?

it joins right away

someone could have wrote that somewhere

cannot remember what the checksum was for 2.0.0 but for 2.0.1 it should be `fb8b`, double check this with the checksum _ingame_ (the one in the launcher is what you should have unmodded)

What are your checksums when you activate Apocalypse ? and when you deactivate it ?

Without Apocalypse the game checksum is fb8b and with its still the same checksum fb8b

@grekulf had the same issue a few days ago not sure he found out why, the beta version has worked fine as has our internal ones so this one seems just to be in the live one and that is deeply disturbing... we are currently investigating so i hope you can have some patience with us
