Description
Missing notification on "construction complete" for shipyards and planets

Game Version
Verne v2.6.0

What version do you use?

Steam

What expansions do you have installed?
Synthetic Dawn,
Utopia,
Leviathans Story Pack,
Apocalypse,
Megacorp,
Distant Stars,
Ancient Relics,
Lithoids

Do you have mods enabled?
No

Please explain your issue is in as much detail as possible.
After Verne update, the notifications for finishing construction on shipyards and planets are gone.
I checked the game settings to look for any new option about notifications; there is none.
I have checked the patch notes for 2.6.0 and there is no mention of those notifications being removed, so I guess (and hope) this is a bug.

Steps to reproduce the issue.
Always reproduces.

Still not fixed in proper 2.6.3 patch release. This means that I'll have to abandon my current game since this is last patch before May update which will very likely be incompatible with 2.6.x saves.

how long can it take to fix such a simple issue?

are they actually aware of this?

it might seem like an unimportant issue from their point of view, but it matters a lot to a lot of players....

If it bothers you as much as me, you can install the "NaK1119's Planetary Development Notification" mod that "fixes" this issue. Can't post a link but its steam id is 2032279687.

Its primary purpose is to add notifications for low amenities/housing, but if you don't want those you can disable them easily.

If this really is a feature and not a bug, it's pretty baffling they couldn't just make it something you can choose to disable/enable.

Yes, they were first removed in earlier versions and we are still trying to reduce the amount of attention grabbers on the screen. For now, this is working as designed, but as mentioned in another thread, please continue to feedback on this, as this is an ongoing process of fine-tuning which notification and alerts are actually useful.

Here's the quote from my bug report.

This change annoys me a lot since it makes it much more difficult to play the game in the way that I like.

The way I play the game relies on keeping extra jobs slots closed on planet so that when a new pop is born/assembled/assimilated, a flag for an unemployed pop on a planet. So at the start of each month, free a job slots for the new pops and start constructing new building if I need to.

Next step would be to close extra job slots after construction is complete. This becomes much more difficult to keep track of without any notifications of construction completion and this might lead to a situation where there are no jobs for new pops, not enough housing or amenities etc.

Thanks.

It's so frustrating that this was intentional. I can't play the game because of this.

Take it this still hasn't been resolved? Despite being pretty hyped for Federations, this issue has basically prevented me from going back to Stellaris since my first attempt at playing with the expansion.

Got to say, this whole thing has highlighted to me that the Devs appear to be taking the game in the opposite direction to what players like me actually like - being able to keep tabs on things and get notified when stuff happens. I get that they may not want a whole host of popups appearing at the top of the screen when they're playing a massive empire. But there's notification settings that allow people who don't want them to disable those popups. Why take away the notifications from those of us who found them useful? :/

By removing these notifications they killed the game. I have no idea how to govern the single first habitable world without those notes. If I have an empire of just few worlds, without that info it becomes totally unplayable.

I miss Stellaris, I'd like to re-play it but cannot. I'd like to buy DLCs but this is pointless.
