Because currently I have no spare money at the moment to pre-order, I'm at a point where I am living strictly on bread, water and milk everyday so pre-ordering is out of the question.

Does anyone know why the german Amazon states that the release is on 27th of may and therefore delivers it on 27th ?

This is pure speculation, but I guess that it's because burning CDs, creating packaging and shipping it to distribution centers takes quite some time, and the code wasn't finalized as of the last Blorg stream, so they probably had to wait for stable code and then burn and ship that.

Assuming all but the CDs was ready to go, this would explain why it only takes a few weeks after digital launch to make physical copies available.

They will use the name that you put into your Paradox account. Not the forum account, but the PDX account. You can find it on the very top-right of every forum page, that small black bar. There you can enter your name when you edit your account details.

What is your source for this? @BjornB previously stated that names would be collected (and that people could opt out) so I don't see why anything would have changed.

You should be asked to provide your name around release.

Because of this in the Steam Store description: "Must have a Paradox Account linked to your Steam Account to have your name included; must link accounts beforeJune 1, 2016 to qualify."

I won't bet on it, but I'm pretty sure that "asked to provide your name" will mean "asked to link accounts and fill out the info there".
