Judging by the screenshots, the battles look like real-time tactical like the TW games. Is that true?
Tactics are out of your control. But you can watch them duke it out.Judging by the screenshots, the battles look like real-time tactical like the TW games. Is that true?
So I don't have to control the battle? It will be like in CK, EU, Vic, and HoI battles? I hope so; I hate the type of battles TW has.Tactics are out of your control. But you can watch them duke it out.
Yeah, Endless Space was very lacking in the personality department.
I mostly meant that with so many variables (races/phenotypes, ethics, technologies, governments) we are bound to have a living thing on each level of galactic expansion. It all can add up. The most important now is to get it right. I hope characters will play larger role than what already has been unveiled, because CK2-esque approach (of characters impacting everything) also holds a lot of promise.Yes, but I will add to this that federations aren't a government type. Like I said, they're more like the HRE in EU4 or a kingdom in CK2. But the factions inside a federation will have different government types and races, like you said.
isnt the Clausewitz engine getting a little long in the tooth? i would have thought a brand new IP, especially one as ambitious as this, would have come with a new engine
Btw, I'm I the only one that was hyped for an asymmetrical 4X? Hope they decide to give us an option for that.
Or just make assymetrical warfare a possibility... I'd like to encounter space-faring races that aren't "the playable ones" and symmetrical. If they are aggressive however then you would be pretty much screwed. Which is why it should be something to be selected in the options menu.
Will I be able to convert my saves from Vicky 2 to Stellaris ?
