Description
Fallen/Awakened Empire Army Transports (sort of) Turn Into Crisis Transports Upon Embarking During Active Crisis
Game Version
Orion v3.6.1 open-beta (0f55)
What version do you use?
Steam
What expansions do you have installed?
All of the expansions. All of them. Even the spider portrait.
Do you have mods enabled?
No
Please explain your issue is in as much detail as possible.
During any crisis that uses Assault Armies (i.e. Marauder Horde, Prethoryn Scourge, Contingency), any Fallen/Awakened Empire armies that land and re-embark will use ship class names as if they were crisis army transports, e.g. "Pirate Transport-class" if the Marauder Horde is active. The transports' designs (ship components) will change as well to match those used by the crisis. Additionally, if the Prethoryn Scourge or Contingency is active, the Fallen/Awakened Empire transports will use the placeholder box mesh. Whether invading a hostile world or garrisoning a friendly one makes no difference, nor does the type of Fallen/Awakened Empire appear to (observed on all five fallen empire types, as well as awakened machines; didn't test others). Newly-recruited Fallen/Awakened Empire armies experience the same effects.
Marauder Horde only affects the transports' components and ship class names. Prethoryn Scourge and Contingency affect the transports' meshes in addition.
The problem persisted after verifying the integrity of the game files via Steam and after fully reinstalling the game several times.
Regarding the attached screenshots: Ship component changes are not directly pictured, but can be inferred from ship modifiers and hull/armor/shield values.
Steps to reproduce the issue.
1. Start a new game with at least one Fallen Empire, and Ironman mode disabled.
2. Trigger any of the following crises via console commands OR wait for one of them to occur naturally: Marauder Horde, Prethoryn Scourge, Contingency.
2a. Wait for the crisis to begin in earnest, if necessary (i.e. arrival of Prethoryn Vanguard fleets, activation of first Sterilization Hub).
3. Via console commands, take control of any Fallen or Awakened Empire.
4. Take note of the components used on the Fallen/Awakened Empire's army transports.
5. Land the armies on any world OR recruit a new army from one of their colonies.
6. Embark the armies you just landed, if applicable.
7. Compare the army transports' new components and ship class names to what they were previously. If testing with the Prethoryn Scourge or Contingency crisis, also observe how the transports have suddenly changed to the placeholder box mesh.
All Fallen/Awakened Empire armies have already landed and been re-embarked in the attached save file.
