Please explain your issue is in as much detail as possible.
When you gain knowledge about another empire, the "font size" and "icon size" of the empire's name/ symbol on the galaxy map gives you a clue, how big the empire is/ how many systems it has. Maybe this should only be revealed with intel. See screenshot for an example.

Steps to reproduce the issue.
Use the zoom function on the galaxy map to determine if the unknown empire is big or small.
