Does anyone else agree here that this game is completely unoptimized when it comes to end-game where everything comes to a crawl, lag and completely ruins the experience?

year 2350 and my i7-6700k just don't wanna anymore XD

Devs pls fix, i am locked from a part of your game by your own fault and this constitute a ground for refund even after hours playing the game...

i've said it for a while and i don't want to have to demand a refund, i like this game but it needs 64bits and multi core use BAD, it's just not a game you can do in 32bit on a single core and it was the worst idea from the start, i just hope you don't dig your head into the sand and are actually making this a priority, because else, the surprise forced refunds wave will start with me, even if it's like a year later.

you just can't make a game that can't even run on the best computer of the time and go away with it without even aknowledging the problem. plus it's not even beta or anything, it's a full release... fix your game.

can't even have a couple 100k fleets without my computer crawling...

instead of working toward 10$ expension packs that don't change the game much, work on optimizing it instead please.

My wife's i5 goes to 2450 without a problem. It gets a little slow in MP sometimes, but that's not a processor issue (and I suspect its an ISP issue at my house).

lol it depends how good/bad you are at the game, of course maybe you do as good in 2450 as i do in 2300 and in a small galaxy over that... it's normal that it won't lag then.

i'm talking about a pro player having a great start, playing at normal speed to over-optimize each of his moves. like having half a huge 1000 star galaxy by 2300, this lags like hell and should'nt

you can't expect to run such a cpu intensive game on a toaster.
i7 6700k is no toaster lol. but i agree it's no overpriced 1250$ intel cpu either. AND even if it was, the game would probably use like 1 core anyway, so get to know what you're talking about.

someone said earlier that a 6950x could run the game no problem but i even have doubts about that, it's just the way the game works your processor that sucks.

Yup, confirmed by usage graphs, the game runs on a single core

Which means that even if you have like a 1250$ I7 6950x super uber awesome cpu, it would run on a single core and do worst than a way cheaper cpu with an higher clock speed.

which then leads back to my initial argument, the way the game is optimized for the cpu just plain sucks. and koba134, your argument is invalid.

Here I am wondering how someone can be a "pro" at Stellaris. Difficult to make a career playing professionally.

If on max galaxy it were not lagging then they should enable even bigger galaxies.
Ever tried Ludicrous earth with all civ + barbarians in YnAEMP Civ 6? That has perf issues despite turn based, not Stellaris

I'm running an r7 1800x, no perf issues unless i've got enough fleet power selected (thats just UI lag though) - simulation continues to run just fine, even in a game with several million total fleet power running around

With that screenshot, Im surprised you havent already reached one of the goals at the end of the game, finishing it. Did you keep playing even after you won? Also, are you running any mods? I do agree Stellaris should just go to 64 bit, but blaming the developers alone when you literally are trying to manage the whole galaxy at the maximum amount of stars the game can even try to optimize with tons of AI running around, you have to realize you're pushing it to the limit just a little.
