I like most of it but Dictatorship new bonus is so insanely weak.

If you manage correctly your bureaucrats it literally does nothing because you have no empire sprawl penalty

And if you don't, 10% does nearly nothing

I think even 50% less wouldn't be that good

I don't see any reason to take it instead of imperial

Also are they still keeping the atherphastic engine secret? What does it do?
I have a slight hunch...

I recall there was discussion about giving Gaia worlds higher carrying capacity, so they hit peak population pretty quickly. Did that make it in?

And the Alien Contact process should be streamline for Lost Colonies, right? No Commonwealth of Man dissecting obvious humans from the United Nations of Earth. It would also be awkward for those games where you intentionally spawn empires with the same species as you.

When I checked them (granted it was a quick check taking the UNE and giving them the Gaia world origin), they started with the population in the high growth part of the curve, with plenty of capacity to grow into.

For first contacts with the same species - regardless of lost colonies or otherwise - the process is sped up and a lot easier to make contact.

I'm guessing the Aetherophasic Engine does more than one thing. You probably have the option to choose what it does when you reach the final stage. I can't imagine the only use for it being to totally destroy the galaxy.

In all seriousness, I hope this has some sort of limit to it or isn't incredibly easy to pull off. The +200 opinion bonus to Improve Relations was bonkers, which is why I'm glad that it is being reduced to +100, but now we can bring it to +300 with a covert op? What is the logic in that? +300 Opinion is BFF territory even with opposed fanatic ethics and a war or two between them.
isn't this the classic increase performance of the growth , not the limit ?

0.25 + 75% = 0.4375 x month (edit: its not 75% , its triple, my bad. it goes to 0.75 a month )

same as the diplomatic tradition unlock .

Meh. Should have named it hype diary.
* Updates have been made to some Authorities and Ethics:
* * The Democratic Authority now increases the Automatic Resettlement Chance by 50%. (To a base of 15%)
* * The Oligarchic Authority now increases Influence from factions by 15%.
* * The Dictatorial Authority now reduces Empire Sprawl penalties by 10%.
* * The Imperial Authority retains its current +1 Edict Cap bonus.
* * The Machine Intelligence Authority now grants +1 monthly Pop Assembly
* * The Gestalt Consciousness Ethic now also grants +2 Encryption, applying to both Machine Intelligences and Hive Minds.
So, hives get shafted again? Typical.
* * Starbase Nebula Refineries now produce a base of 10 minerals, and 1 exotic gas if Exotic Gas Extraction has been researched.
* * Starbase Solar Power Networks now produce a base of 6 energy.
* * Starbase Black Hole Observatories now produce a base of 15 physics research, and 1 volatile mote if Mote Stabilization has been researched.
Crystals follow the hives, I see.
* * A country has researched jump drives or psi jump drives (only the Unbidden can happen in the first 50 years in this case)
* Nuked old script to randomize which crisis shows up. Now it is simply purely a random choice that is random (with the chance of any crisis happening increasing the more years pass in the endgame).
But Unbidden are still more likely?
* Self-modified Pops can no longer be resettled on other planets.
How is this even a bug? Resettling pops that suddenly became suited for new environments is kind of their entire point. No, enabling migration rights is not a sane option.
* Empires destroyed from Doomsday origin no longer trigger the default empire destroyed notification event.
How about you stop that from happening, instead?
* Purchased Caravaneer Pops can no longer be pre-sapient.
Was quite in-character, though :p
* Fixed an issue where it was possible for one country in a federation to establish communications with other countries (esp non-standard ones like Tiyanki) but not pass this knowledge on to its federation allies.
So, now only the first empire in federation to research those gets the project? Or was the whole thing re-made and never mentioned?
* Rivaling someone now incurs a truce for breaking non aggression pacts and defensive pacts. Research agreements will now also be broken.
So, now when you rival someone you are forced to open borders to them? Great job.
* One-way truces no longer allow you to traverse a nation's space that has closed its borders to you.
Only "you" or both parties? When truces are considered one-way, btw? Never seen any.
* You will no longer hear about Marauders being destroyed if you have never met said Marauders.
What about regular empires?

Given the flavour text I think that’s exactly what it does, but as a byproduct. From the snippets we’ve seen it has 40k Eye of Terror vibes, something that overlaps the material world with the immaterial.

I assume it’s a mass ascension/take over of the shroud and a byproduct is massive destruction in the physical realm.

The twist is that it deletes your save file.

So, hives get shafted again? Typical.

Seriously. One of the devs must be salty after losing to a Hive or something.

As mentioned, ringworlds can produce consumer goods via industrial districts and buildings. Have a screenshot of the district:

i can sense disturbance in the force there ...

maybe one-way is when someone decide to break a pact , so it is not the result of a pace treaty decided by both sides.

this mean that your problem and your answers where one under\up the other ....

Why do people think hiveminds get shafted.
It's literally in the screenshot that hiveminds get organic assembly from the start.

Then add other bonuses like more energy from solar panels and more +2 encryption that makes hiveminds really good.

This change is not good. It takes out a lot of flavor when you are usually no longer in part responsible for the crisis, and it reduces the appeal of "dangerous techs", which now just amount to an edge case of Jump Drives and the robot uprising. There should be more dangerous techs, not less, as they are a really fun concept.

Also, if there are no fallen empires, the crisis will now pretty much always be the Unbidden, as someone has usually researched Jump Drives by the endgame, even with endgame year set to much earlier than default, which means it will likely still be the case in the new patch. Seems like a very binary situation.

there are still dangerous events chained to said dangerous tech .

AI tech , Jump drives \ psi drives still have the chance to generate crisis .
