Declaring war against empire if they have a Defensive pact with one of your vassals causes you to go to war with your vassals

Alright so, as far as I can tell, somethings kind of funky with the code in regards to vassals and Defensive pacts, in that Declaring war against empire if they have a Defensive pact with one of your vassals causes you to go to war with your vassals
I also went to war with the fella just to see what would happen, and it just bugged out causing my bulwark to go to war with me. Had to enable console commands to resolve the issue since for some reason, even though I initiated the war, I wasn't allowed to end it. Please fix this, I had to negotiate vassalisation and that's lame!
Steps to reproduce the issue.
Grab my save file and attempt to go to war against the Thorquell Confederacy (You'll have to do it quickly since they're gonna accept my subugation proposal in a bit, apologies)
