Description
Crisis War does not end upon destruction of declared crisis empire if it has a defensive pact with another empire [3.0.3] [d281]

Game Version
v3.0.3

What version do you use?
Steam

What expansions do you have installed?

Do you have mods enabled?
No

Please explain your issue is in as much detail as possible.
I declared a regular empire a crisis (empire 1), and as they had a defensive pact with another empire (empire 2), empire 1 brought empire 2 into the crisis war. Now that empire 1 has been destroyed I cannot repeal the crisis resolution, and as I still cannot make peace in the war menu I must continue to fight empire 2 until I destroy them too.

Steps to reproduce the issue.
Declare an empire that has a defensive pact with another empire a crisis -> destroy the first empire -> you will have no way to make peace with the second empire

Yes, those wars become unfinishable via resolution repeal, if the empire which was declared the crisis dies before its allies. I once dragged the whole galaxy into two crisis wars at once for fun by declaring two empires with lots of defense pacts as galactic emperor to the crisis (6 empire coalition against 6 against 10). Basically everyone was massacring everyone. It was not so fun anymore when i found myself unable to end the galactic massdestruction diplomatically.

Hello!

Thank you for the report!
This is working as designed.

Although what you are bringing up is still a valid criticism of the system, we might look into changing it in the future.

Joining in on this I too am not a fan of defensive packed people joining a "Galactic War" involving an AI Becoming the Crisis. While we are on the topic of feedback.... I feel i should get a choice as to if i want to join said war or not as part of the group (similar to the war in the heavens thing where i get to choose to join the force).

The empires with defense acts are usually not empires which chose the "become the crisis" ascension perk. Those usually get their pacts broken before they reach stage 5 and enter the galactic war (unless their ally is a player). Its usually completely innocent empires which become declared the crisis via resolution of the galactic community. So the defense pacts stay in tact.
