Stellaris Crashes

Hello,

After a long break from the game i came back to play a bit. Unfortunately i am experiencing game crashes. I have played during 1.0.1 patch and had no problems whatsoever except for the dumb sector AI... anyway i am back and playing on version "Kennedy 1.4.1 (1759)".
I am having problems with the game, right now i am experiencing game crashes, which force me to delete process using Ctrl+alt+del, but somethimes i have to restart my PC, it happens more often with other application running in background such as Firefox. I am receiving system message:

"Display driver stopped responding and has recovered"​

I have updated my display drivers and lowered graphic settings but to no avail. I could use some help.
My specs are:

• OS: Windows 7
• Display adapter: AMD radeon HD 7900 Series
• CPU: AMD Phenom(tm) IIx4 965 Processor

I have uploaded a file from C:\Users\x\Documents\Paradox Interactive\Stellaris\dumps, and will try to upload them whenever i get new crash.

I have a sneaky suspicion what the problem is here. Sounds like a problem I had ages ago

DXDIAG is a program you run from a command prompt or the Windows start menu 'run' dialog box (or 'search programs' in Windows 7 or later). After running it will open a window and start collecting info with a progress bar in the lower-left corner. When it completes click the 'save all information' button and save it to a file then attach that file here.

Please attach here your Documents/Paradox/Stellaris/settings.txt and Documents/Paradox/Stellaris/logs/system.log files, thanks.



Please report the temperatures of your CPU and video (GPU)
1/ before starting the game up and
2/ after say 30 minutes' play.
If your PC's vendor has given you no way of reading temperatures, install
SPEEDFAN http://www.almico.com/sfdownload.php

Please do not attach dumps here; we intech support can't read dumps anyway, only developers can. When you restart the game after a crash, it offers to upload crash info including dumps then; if you said OK to that the info is already in the hands of the developers, there's nothing more you or I need to do to get it looked at.

However that message for indicate a GPU driver or hardware fault, normally.

Please attach your Documents/Paradox/Stellaris/settings.txt. From your Documents/Paradox/Stellaris/logs/ folder, attach system.log .

Also, the aforementioned crash happens most of the time when i switch to galaxy map to system map or vice versa, but it is roughly 60% of the time.

Do you still get this with no mods in use?

Also change settings.txt as follows:

fullScreen=yes
borderless=no

Hey,
I have tried your solution and i came here to say that i am no longer experiencing said game crashes. I have not tried to play Stellaris without mods but after changing from "windowed borderless" to "fullscreen" seems to have fixed the problem for me.
Thank you for your help with my little problem.
