Hello there! I'm a bit tied from constant game crashes. I was waiting for developers to fix it in one of the updates but nothing changes so I decided to write here about it.
I use Steam based version (last official 1.9.0) on my iMac 5K with macOS Sierra. The game used to crash every half an hour and mostly when I'm entering the system screen from galaxy map or from any menu where it's possible to choose "open that planet screen" option. I have tried to reinstall the game but nothing changed.

The second problem I encountered only in last version was the problem to create new game with FEW human empires. I precreated some empires and set them to "must be in the game" and I also picked one of them. But I found only one human empire in the created game (mine). All non human empires were there as planed but no more human. I tried many times and figured out that the only way to get 2 human empires in the game is to play for Commonwealth of Man, so United Nation of Earth will be added to the game. But I still want to play with MY human empires as well. This should be the bug.

Please do a full **clean** re-install:

- move any valued save games elsewhere
- "uninstall" in Steam-Stellaris
- manually delete both the Steam/SteamApps/common/Stellaris AND Documents/Paradox/Stellaris folders
- re-install game in Steam, run a Steam Verify when done.
- start the game with no mods active and test

In particular you need to make sure there are no files or folders left under either the Steam Stellaris or Documents Stellaris locations, before installing again.

**File Locations on Mac OS X**
The executable and DLC folder are in Users/USER/Library/Application Support/Steam/SteamApps/common/Stellaris/
On OS X 10.8.x and later, Apple have hidden the /Users/USER/Library/ folder. To see it go to the Finder, hit command-shift-G (ie Go To) and type in ~/Library/ .
The user files (settings.txt, error logs, saved games, gfx, mods) are in /Users/USER/Documents/Paradox Interactive/Stellaris/ .

If that doesn't help:
Please attach your Documents/Paradox/Stellaris/settings.txt.
From your Documents/Paradox/Stellaris/logs/ folder, attach system.log .
Also in Steam please click on Steam-Help-System Info, and paste everything there into a text file and attach that here.

Please report the temperatures of your CPU and video (GPU)
1/ before starting the game up and
2/ after say 30 minutes' play.
I use iStat Pro for this, but there are many other free apps to read temperatures.

You might post about that in the main game forum here, if people agree it's a bug then in Bug Reports.
