Errr planets can be larger than 16. Only Earth is hard coded for size 16.

I mean slots to build buildings, like labs, capital etc

4*4 is not enough, 4*8 would be much more better. then we would not need to use mods about that.

Just wanted to say thanks for reaching out to the fan base. It was getting a little worrisome and frustrating being left in the dark, but seeing those screen shots and hearing of the huge overhaul I get why things progressed the way they did. I look for to playing when things get ironed out. :)

You REALLY don't know how economy works in 2.2.
Districts provides worker jobs and a bit of housing, then you have buildings for specialist and, can't remember the 3rd one, besides building can be upgraded through research to provide more jobs.
Forget the tile system with one pop per tile to run a building, in 2.2 there is district into building into housing ...

Most updates and patches on consoles are mandatory if you want to play games that have any sort of online feature including multiplayer, this is nothing to do with Paradox it's the platform holders that make it mandatory.
I wouldn’t bother, I tried explaining that to Davor, but he doesn’t seem to understand that in the case of consoles, Publishers have no choice if they leave rollback, as consoles simply don’t allow it.
@Nelson007
Your primary source of Jobs is from your districts. And the amount of districts you can build is limited by the planet size. And G/M/A are also limited by RNG, the amount of each is randomly generated. So let’s say you have a size 20 planet, with 15 Generator, 6 Mining and 9 Agri districts. You can’t build them all. So you build 10 generator districts and that will leave you with ten more districts, do you build some more, or do you build some city districts to take advantage of some building jobs?
City Districts: 5 Housing (8 with tech and perks) and 1 Clerk Job (2 with a perk)
Generator Districts: 2 Housing and 2 Technician Jobs
Mining Districts: 2 Housing and 2 Miner Jobs
Agri Districts: 2 Housing and 2 Farmer Jobs
Buildings provide additional or specialist jobs.

Good evening Devs,

I’m a new player on PS4 (3 weeks ago) and I have to tell you that this game is fantastic!!
I’m 33 and I used to play PC back in the days Age of Empires, a Civ. Call to Power, Alpha Centauri, WoW, etc...
I switched for big board games many years ago and only recently restart video gaming (3-4 years ago) via console this time.
The depth of the details in the society mechanics, the political avenues, the interactions, and in the graphics in general is simply incredible!! I’ve been totally hooked on this game like I haven’t been since WoW and I can’t stop playing since I purchased the “all DLCs included” version. Bravo!! Bravo!!

Can’t wait for the 2.2 update, whenever that it’ll happen!!

However, since it hasn’t been launched yet, I would like to suggest minor “flavour” details, if I may. I’m hoping that they can be added before the release. As one said, “the Devil resides in the details”.

I am French speaking and realized that the " Names Lists " have not been translated in any languages (I tested the other languages as well to compare), but stayed in English as for all the AI empires’ names and races’ names lists and ship class.
Ex. “Humanoid 3: Ship Names - Dawn of Civilization” in French should be “Humanoïde 3: Noms de vaisseaux - Aube de la Civilisation” or ”Plantoid 2: Fleet Names - Burgeoning Bouquet” translates to “Plantoïde: Noms de flotte - Bouquet Bourgeonnant”.
On the same topic, all the customized AI empires that are made will automatically take the ”Name List” chosen for the current empire I want to play with. Basically, you can’t play in one game with different customized AI empires each having their own “Race Name List”.
Lastly, I realized that the Reptilian ship’s lights will be the same colour as the one chosen for the hull paint (empire flag’s primary colour) as opposed the two colours version seen on PC (no moding). Ex. Brown hull with blue lights doesn’t exist on console.

Except those tiny superficial details, I cannot say again how I enjoy playing your game. Two of my friends bought the game after they saw me playing it!!

Thank you for producing such a good game!!

You made demands of other users, insisting that they dig up the proof you were desperate for regarding upcoming changes to the game. You may not see it that way, but with the tone and tenor of your comments and general argumentative style, it comes across as aggressive and therefore demanding. That's the perception you've given yourself by starting the argument, dragging it out and now trying to backpedal. I'm happy to leave the debate/argument/discussion/whatever as it is because I'm going to give you the benefit of the doubt and assume there's been a miscommunication but nevertheless, this thread really isn't the place for it anyway - it's been derailed long enough.

Sorry for late reply. Life happened. :)

Tone, I apologize if it's wrong. I easily get it wrong lots of time as well from other people. :)

I don't think I said anything wrong. I haven't demanded anything. I have asked for proof to show me that I was wrong. If someone is going to say I am wrong or make it look like I am wrong or my opinion is not valid, then at least show proof as to why. How is asking, demanding?

Just because we disagree doesn't mean any of us are wrong. It is our opinions, and I respect yours. I may not agree with it, but I do respect your opinion. :)

I believe I have given a great alternative if that is the case. If the publishers have no choice for roll backs, how about simply making a DLC that gives people the chance not to update? Really simple actually. Then it's the publishers who would tell or not tell the developers to make said DLC. Again, not demanding but suggesting an alternative.

Most of the features from 1.8 - 2.2 are in the 2.2 patch which is free while the DLC specific portions (Synthetic Dawn, Apocalypse, Distant stars and Megacorp) are enabled via the separate paid expansions.

The DLC expansions will be explicitly dependant on the 2.2 patch since the patch will include changes to those parts.

The goal is to bring the console version closer to the pc version so that both platforms have the same content, to tell Tantalus not to make the content for the entire console playerbase just because you don't want to adapt to the changes would be idiotic.

I never have said to have the entire console player base to adapt just for me. I asked for alternatives, and even gave an example how it can be done. Not demanding anything, just letting my opinion known. Just because people do not like my opinion doesn't mean I am wrong.

If the option is to opt out of new patches, but not be able to play new content, then that is something on me then. At least I can play the version I want then.

As I said before, I gave suggestions how it might be done. So both sides can be happy. Win/Win. People who want the new version can have them, and make a DLC that let's people to choose who do not want the new version. So not sure how some people are thinking of me saying "NO" for other people as well. That is idiotic, I agree and not asking or never suggested that. I have asked to opt out, and if not possible, make a DLC so it will not allow new version/patches then.

For me, I bought the game to support console ports/4X games on consoles. Second, I bought so I can play a version I enjoy. If it was made known that Stellaris console version would become 2.3+ then I would have never supported this.

make a DLC so it will not allow new version/patches then.

your asking for a DLC that blocks system functionality for that game, the console makers will not allow it since patching is handled by the console operating system and is mandatory for games with multiplayer, that DLC would not work anyway since patching is done before the game is launched.

Against my better judgement, I'm going to respond even though I tried to put this to bed a while ago. I never said you were wrong, and you're entitled to your opinion about the game, but you've missed the mark when it comes to what I was saying in that last post you responded to. It doesn't necessarily matter that you don't think you've made demands or been argumentative because this is the perception you've given everyone else in the thread, and I think I explained clearly and politely why that is - I also said I was going to be charitable and give you the benefit of the doubt, and to your credit you have apologised for your previous tone and been respectful in following comments. While on the topic, I also did provide as much proof as we had available (which wasn't a lot, granted - just a teaser and then this thread) regarding upcoming changes. Unfortunately because of the devs being quiet, this is the first real concrete evidence we have of these changes even though everyone kinda knew they were coming.

But all that aside, you seem to that we're somehow diametrically opposed here when I don't actually think you're wrong about what you're saying or that your opinion isn't valid - you'll notice that I actually backed you up multiple times in this thread regarding the initial concern about performance. I also don't think that what you're advocating as an optional update is wrong or invalid; what I and others took exception to was the general tone, which we've discussed so I won't harp on it any longer. Would it be nice if the 2.2 update was optional? Sure. Is it feasible that they'd do something like that? Probably not, no. Fact is that this is the gaming industry now. You buy a game, and a year later it's a mostly different product. The only way you're getting around that is by never taking your console online, or never updating the games; It's not consumer-friendly, but it is the accepted norm nowadays. You'd probably be surprised by how much we actually agree on.

On a completely side note, our last development update was almost a month ago. By this rate, PC will be 20+ dlc ahead. Way to go, Paradox. I expect something shortly before or shortly after Federation drops. This is getting ridiculous.

Not sure whether to start playing this now on X1 Game Pass for free or wait for the update, during which time it may be removed from Game Pass. It's already been on there a while and it probably takes a long time to play. I only tend to play games once.
