Description
Cease Drone Production stops all pop growth Dick v3.0.3(d281)

Game Version
Dick v3.0.3 (d281)

What version do you use?
Steam

What expansions do you have installed?
All expansions

Do you have mods enabled?
No

Please explain your issue is in as much detail as possible.
When I have a machine empire, if I use the Cease Drone Production decision on a planet, this also stops the growth of my bio trophies. The result is that I have permanently open bio trophy jobs. My bio trophies can't breed fast enough before the planets get crowded, so I can't fill those jobs. I initially noticed this issue on a modded and cheated game, so I restarted a vanilla game and got the same results without doing anything in game (no building, no other decisions, no research, etc).

Steps to reproduce the issue.
(It's the Custodians that I noticed the issue on, I don't know if that matters) Go to any planet with bio-trophies, go to the Population tab, hover over the growth progress bar and you will see the normal "next pop will be produced in x months" box. Choose decision "Cease drone production". Hover over the growth progress bar for your bio trophies again and a box pops up saying "No pops can grow on this planet".

Hello!

Thank you for the report!

This is working as designed.

While the name and flavor text indeed mention Drones, the description of this edict does state that it stops all the pop growth and that there will be No population growth on planet.

I necro this post and bump on it. "This is working as designed" ---> This is the worst design ever! How can we control the balance of robots vs trophies as a servitor??

I strongly recommend to take a step back and review this feature.

Actually, if you see this - I keep meaning to mention, when you "cease all drone production" as a Machine Empire, it does NOT have any affect on Replicator jobs. Tested in multiple games, on multiple planets, with or without a Factory building.

You enact the decision and it does in fact zero out growth, but any machine pops who have the Replicator .... stay in those jobs. They don't move to other jobs, the job is not locked out - nothing happens at all. So they just basically occupy space and Manatees doing nothing useful at all, and you must manually ban the job.
