Please explain your issue is in as much detail as possible.
I've just noticed that one of my Scientists should have died a long time ago, but seems to be beating impossible odds to stay alive? I believe this is due to a weird bug resulting from the Sentinels questline.

A long time ago I sent this particular Scientist to excavate the Sentinels site (on a colonised world). He went missing, as per the event, and I couldn't spare anyone to continue the dig at the time. Decades later I resume the dig, and trigger the events to locate the missing Scientist. I spend my money and influence, and find him (maimed).

Since he's higher level than the second Scientist, and with the Archaeologist trait, I assign him back onto the dig. He continues the excavation, until I reach the decision event to either break open a statue or not. I chose to keep them intact, thus ending the questline.

I send the Scientist off to survey or assist research or whatever. I don't keep an eye on him, since I've got more than 10 buzzing around, and simply replace them as they die.

Fast forward over a century, and I notice he's still active. Hovering over his age, shows that he currently has a 234% chance to die monthly (whereas I understand he should have definitely died at 100% chance?). I suspect something has gone wrong as a result of him going missing during the Sentinels questline and it not being continued for a long time.

I suspect he should have died from age in the decades before resuming the excavation, but the event held him in limbo. I didn't check his age at the time (either before or after the long pause), so don't know if his age increased in the intervening years or not.

I'm on ironman, so can't go back to check an earlier save.

Steps to reproduce the issue.
1. Find the Sentinels dig-site. Capture the system and colonise the planet. (I colonised the planet, but the bug may occur without colonising the planet)

2. Send a Scientist to excavate the dig-site, until the event triggers that they go missing.

3. Don't resume the excavation with another scientist until a few decades later.

4. Having resumed the excavation with a new scientist, when the event pops up choose the option to spend money and influence on finding the missing scientist.

5. Successfully find the missing scientist (now Maimed), and assign them back to the excavation.

6. When presented with the choice to either break open a statue or leave them intact, choose to leave them intact.

7. With the Sentinels questline thus ended, observe your maimed Scientist continue to survive long past their life expectancy.

As soon the chance for a scientist to die jumps over 100% it overflows instead of killing him. Once overflown the scientist cannot die anymore. The maimed trait drastically shortens a scientist livespan (40 years shorter if i remember it right). If u dont have an incredibly young scientist, or one that can get really old the scientist u used for this digsite usually has fewer livetime left by default than the trait subtracts. His remaining livetime basically gets into the negatives. And thus the remaining livetime never can get to 0, only further down into the negatives.
