Stellaris before HOI?

I wasn't stating that stellaris should have their deadline sped up btw (i know that wouldn't happen and would be a really bad Idea) just asking whether the game will now release before HOI due to the delays that team is suffering.

I do hope stellaris doesn't suffer any issues I really want this game now not a big fan of the WW2 games (unless rts style like ruse )

They should both take the time their need. But it would just be stupid for HOI4's delays to delay Stellaris, just because HOI4 should come first.

Which delays are we talking about here? I heard something about a potential beta build being rejected before Christmas, but is there anything more tangible? Sure, sucks for potential betas not to get to play HOI4 over the holidays, but if the beta is pushed back a couple of weeks that's not really a bad delay.

If we're talking about a 6 month delay of HOI on the other hand, then Stellaris first becomes far more plausible. I just imagine I'd have seen some post about a massive delay, even if HOI is the only (internal) Pdx game I don't really care about.

It was second beta submission that got rejected. It's not couple of weeks.

Johan did say on twitter that HoI4 won't make Q1. Stellaris still seems to be further out than HoI4, however. It's hard to know though.

I don't think there will be any such delays, or at least that if there are, it would be minor. Also, this is not a delay for HoI4, just Johan excluding a release during Q1.

Right, there are no delays when the thing in question was already delayed.

I mean If they released around the same time, I'm not gonna lie. I'd buy both. But I can see why it's not good on a business standpoint to release them at the same time. I'd imagine Stellaris will be around Q3 to Q4 of this year whiles HOI4 will push around Q2.

I've been assuming Q3 is the earliest for Stellaris, just based on the initial announcements being in Q3 of last year. A year of promotion is a reasonable amount and gives then 9 months of finishing the alpha plus three months or so of beta.

Q3 would be the latest otherwise you're implying 2017 release and HOI4-esque delay for Stellaris.
