Description
Alloy refunding bug and population assimilation bug

Game Version
Verne [2.6.0 checksum 468a

What version do you use?

Steam

What expansions do you have installed?
All of the above

Do you have mods enabled?
No

Please explain your issue is in as much detail as possible.
This also includes the federation review branch, there's a game breaking bug that when you leave your ships on auto-build and you upgrade them without having any alloys, the game wisely spends the alloys you currently have, but if you cancel the upgrade order, not only does it refund the cost of the alloys you had, but the cost for upgrading the entire fleet. Which ends up giving you unlimited alloy.

Second bug with population assimilation, is that after you make any sort of genetic modification to your species, the game doesn't understand they were drones to begin with and keeps trying to assimilate them but can't because they're already drones. This resulted in my entire economy tanking and suffering -50% happiness even though they're drones because the assimilation happened.

Steps to reproduce the issue.
Set any military fleet to auto build, discover any new tech, upgrade said fleet, then stop upgrade anytime and it refunds all of the alloy plus a bonus amount of alloys equal to the total cost not just the current spent.

I was playing as the Reapers in this organized play we just had and I was having the secondary bug and accidentally ran into the first bug which instead of making the whole event fail because I'd have zero economy I used the alloys to build my fleet.

I'm reporting this bug because I hope it doesn't make to the live version that comes out this week, I'm sorry for only noticing it last minute, and using it during this multiplayer, but I couldn't figure out how to fix that drone bug so I used these infinite alloys to counter the 75% production penalty and -50% stability of all my planets bug I was suffering.

Hello Grunt, this was fixed for 2.6.1 I just tested it and it's been ratified, the assimilation bug however has not, it's still there, if you modify your biological species, they will continue to try and assimilate it, the temporary way to fix that issue seems to reopen the genetics screen, click on the pop you just modified, click on standards of living and close the window, then the system updates them back to drones instead of pops to be assimilated. I don't have a save currently with this issue. But any playthrough with driven assimilators should be easy to recreate the issue.
