Description
[3.4.5 (a361)] [Exploit] AI empires will trade for resources that are useless to them.
Game Version
Cepheus v3.4.5 [a361]
What version do you use?
Steam
What expansions do you have installed?
Synthetic Dawn, Utopia, Leviathans Story Pack, Apocalypse, Megacorp, Distant Stars, Ancient Relics, Lithoids, Federations, Nemesis, Aquatics
Do you have mods enabled?
No
Please explain your issue is in as much detail as possible.
Gestalt Consciousness empires that have no use for Consumer Goods (besides selling them on the galactic market, I guess) are willing to trade for consumer goods, and value them far more than what they could get for reselling them. This is very easy for players to exploit, leeching off the AI's economy.
Anecdotally I've also seen this with food and lithoids / robotic empires, but I can't test that this save because the only other robot empire is catalytic.
You can also see this with favors - as a genocidal empire who can't join the galactic community, my favors should be worthless. But the AI still values them at +8 acceptance. AI should only be willing to trade for favors if either both empires are members of the galactic community or the same federation, unless it's possible for it to use them in some other way.
Loosely related: I'm a Determined Exterminator. Why do I have an internal market interested in buying Consumer Goods? Also, why am I producing them? I haven't been able to figure out the source of my cg income or expenditure.
Steps to reproduce the issue.
In my attached save the Iribot Nexus Machine Intelligence, which is not a Rogue Servitor, is not only willing to trade for my Consumer Goods but also considers them 21 times as valuable as my Alloys.
