Would you be able to attach the log files from the game and any crash dumps as they would assist in investigating this?
The log file folder can usually be found at:
Windows: C:\Users\[USERNAME]\Documents\Paradox Interactive\Stellaris\logs
Mac: /Users/USERNAME/Documents/Paradox Interactive/Stellaris/logs
Linux: $HOME/.local/share/Paradox Interactive/Stellaris/logs
