Description
2.8.1 dfce Population promoting to jobs that don't exist when upgrading to Planetary Administration

Game Version
2.8.1 dfce

What version do you use?
Steam

What expansions do you have installed?

Do you have mods enabled?
No

Please explain your issue is in as much detail as possible.
Upgrade a newly colonized planet from Ship Shelter to Planetary Administration. This has been a sporadic issue since this mechanic was instituted and was 8 months ago but I ignored it because I enjoy the game. But this is my first game back, and the very first planet I have upgraded. I find it impossible believe no dev has seen it over the last two years, and that no-one else has mentioned this here. Closing completely and loading back in didn't help. Please fix this.

Steps to reproduce the issue.
Upgrade multiple planets from Ship Shelter to Planetary Administration. You'll end up with spare jobs and one idiot who decided to promote himself to a job that doesn't exist.

U sure that one pop did not simply migrate there on its own and fullfilled that job on another planet before?
It is possible but I have other planets which have jobs and are more attractive so I'd be surprised. And this happened all the time when I used to play regularly but I was a calmer, kinder, more relaxed person back then in the before times :D

You've made me realize that this is a crappy bug report tho tbh - Ima delete/resolve this thread and start a new non-Ironman game and save regularly to try replicate and provide more info :)

Very same thing on the very first planet on my non-Ironman save - built quicker than I thought so didn't get the chance to do a before and after screen grab unfort but do have the saves

I've seen this too. What happens is that two workers promote to rulers and one of the colonists becomes the enforcer, while the other is left unemployed. Good example of why demotion time is a bad mechanic.
