Description
[2.2.4] & [f25b] Erudite + Psionic wipes bonus leader traits

Game Version
2.2.4 beta branch [f25b]

What version do you use?

Steam

What expansions do you have installed?
Synthetic Dawn,
Utopia,
Leviathans Story Pack,
Apocalypse,
Megacorp, , All of the above

Do you have mods enabled?
No

Please explain your issue is in as much detail as possible.
I was playing an Inward Perfection empire, and was forced into war with an Awakened Fallen Empire. In the course of the war, I acquired some more of my core pops, which had the Psionic trait. I had myself opted for Genetic Ascension, so naturally I figured, hey, let's try this out, moar research for everyone.

Before I did anything, all my leaders had the Erudite trait, so far so good. Then I applied genetic modification into the new template that had psionic. The full template would have had Psionic, Erudite, Robust and two minor traits. The modification completed successfully, but now my leaders have neither Psionic nor Erudite (all the pops have both). Something isn't right here...

Player is "The Culture" (formerly "Amberite Mandate") in the save.

Edit: proposed solution - allow these traits to be genemodded out and back in once a player has access to them (perhaps limited to genetic ascension), and have the leader-affecting traits be mutually exclusive (i.e. "opposites" of each other).

Steps to reproduce the issue.
1. Undergo Genetic Ascension
2. Have your pops have Erudite
3. Have your pops in an enemy empire which underwent Psionic Ascension be converted into Psionics
4. Re-acquire your pops, which now have Psionic
5. Apply Psionic template to entire population
6. Observe leaders losing Erudite and not gaining Psionic

Just wanted to add that Cyborgs don't work with Erudite either: leaders get Cyborg trait just fine, but no bonus trait from being Erudite. Judging by reports, Erudite seems to have been broken like this since its release.

Edit: proposed solution - allow these traits to be genemodded out and back in once a player has access to them (perhaps limited to genetic ascension), and have the leader-affecting traits be mutually exclusive (i.e. "opposites" of each other).
What would be the point of crossbreeding then? >.>

Besides, there's more to "bonus leader traits" than three ascension paths, some of which don't seem to work with Erudite either (highly doubt anyone bothered to fix that).
