Parliament needs a new Speaker. If I may, I'd suggest to nominate Hajji Giray I.
On a more general note, I would recommend that Parliament consider two changes to the Constitution in order to prevent problems such as we are currently experiencing from recurring in the future:
(1) When electing a Speaker, Parliament should also elect a Deputy Speaker who can take over if the need arises.
(2) At the same time, I'd suggest that Parliament institute a mid-term roll-call. MPs should have half a week to sign up or pm the Speaker; if they don't, they should be replaced with another candidate.
In addition, I would also recommend that Parliament consider the following changes:
(3) At the moment, MPs are required to step down if there is a foreseeable absence of ten days or more; I'd suggest to extend that period to two weeks.
(4) Given the limited number of citizens who are active in national party politics, I would suggest to reduce the number of MPs to ten, and to revise the Constitution accordingly in all its particulars.
