Beute in German means (please any German out here corrects me if I'm wrong) means booty.
Beute panzer were foreign/enemy tanks abandonned by the enemy, captured by force or recovered and restored, then pressed into German service during WW2.
Germany made A LOT of use of foreign equipment.

Ingame, equipment in large amount and part of official German TO&Es (such as the plentyful of 1940 French equipment) are called by their German designation.
But we've got a few "Beute [XXX]" representing more anecdotal equipment captured from the Allies in the course of the Normandy campaign and re-used by the Germans.
You are just right MadMat.
Also they are often repainted and got a huge iron cross on it, so that the own troops do not shoot on it. Some units are specially called Beutepanzer (Firefly e.g.) but other ones are captured enemy vehicles, reused or modified as own consturctions. Geschützwagen 39, Marder, Lorraine with 10,5cm etc.

Did you thought one of the most common german medium tanks wouldn't be in the game? No offense, but they were pretty common, i think.

What do you mean with "how do i write them?"

So Panzer IVs will be in the game? ABC? How do I write those? And what is the caliber?

PzIV always had 7,5cm cannon by '44 pretty much all were equipped with the long L48.
PzLehr should have pretty much only the H-Version and few of the worse J-Versions.
Maybe, just maybe, some older F2/G-Version but I doubt this.

I believe 75 mm/ L48

That would be Panzerkampfwagen IV Ausführung B/C (or what ever...)

Short PzKpfw IV Ausf. B (or C)

But the most common in Normandy will be PzKpfw IV Ausf. H, if i remember correct.

Steel Division: Normandy 44 - Unit, vehicle and feature overview

We have gathered as much information about these topics as we could find, there are probably errors and misinterpretations of all kinds, but with the best of our ability, using what has been stated by developers, deductions as well as analyzing pictures this is what we have.

Any correction, or addition will be put into the OP, to my great gratitude! Thank you :)
Check out Deuzerre*s thread on the Eugen Forums here:
Subject: All we know about the game (Community FAQ?)

Overview
Paradox Interactive, a publisher on the front line of gaming, announced that it has partnered with Eugen Systems, a renowned developer of games such as the Wargame-series and R.U.S.E.
Steel Division is aiming for "real time tactical" strategy gameplay mixed with enough authenticity to offer, "a time machine back to Normandy in 1944."
The game is boasted to have 400 different real-world vehicles and units designed with careful historical detail and accuracy, 15 maps and play sizes from 1v1 and single player to 10 v 10 huge battles. The 6 nations represented are USA, UK, Germany, Canada, France & Poland.

Here are a list of features thought to be in the game:

IRISZOOM engine - Eugen Systems
The IRISZOOM engine is an in house created 3d engine made by the french development studio Eugen Systems. The engine has the ability to display maps a hundred times larger than in traditional RTS games, which creates an unprecedented scale.
There are four versions known to us v1 was used in R.U.S.E, v2 in Wargame European Escalation, v3 was implemented in Wargame AirLandBattle & v4 in Wargame Red Dragon.
It boasts destructible terrain, hundred if not thousands of high detail vehicles, destructible buildings and ability to zoom in and out really far.

IRISZOOM is said to be heavily updated for the game, Steel Division: Normandy 44.

Battlegroups // Decks
Steel_Division_Normandy_44_Screenshot_01.png

The battle group is made probably after selecting a certain division to create it from, and you have three distinct phases to place units into, which will depict when they come into play in game.

The cost of the unit, and the number of units you can bring to the battle, is displayed in the battle group creation screen by how many cards you select. The green number displays how many units you can call in from that deck of cards.
Each card costs an activation point or maybe more. Which is displayed on the top right.

Top left corner, you'll see the division's "chart", summing up its income in the different phases. Every division has a different one depending on its TO&E & play style.
The battle group has multiple arms of weapons or specific weapon types that you can bring in, in its menu. Which is the following:

Recon - Infantry - Tank - Support - Anti-Tank - Anti-Air - Artillery - Air

Which is quite similar to the Wargame series of building a deck. The yellow shields are believed to be their AP power, and the grey shield the armor.

The developers have made each distinct division follow a rigid Table of Organization & Equipment which forces the players to use the assets available to the historical facts.
But you may receive support in the form of ad-hoc independent companies, battalions, regiments or brigades of certain units that the division does not have. Such as, Jagdpanther, Königstiger, planes, US 76mm AT guns or Wolverines, naval/railroad artillery, etc..

Gameplay-wise, those independent units are part of their attached division as any others, although they usually come in lower numbers.

Dynamic Front Line
The dynamic Front line moves in real time based on friendly unit placements and enemy unit placements.

Players are scored on how much of the battlefield they control, and that front line provides a quick and easy abstraction of where players can press their advantage. Being able to coordinate attacks or exploit breaks is key to win, so is preventing the enemy from doing the same.

Recon & Ambushes
The Line of sight and movement between the front line can be used to the advantage of the attacking or defending force, based on smartly placed units on the field, and how you employ them behind enemy lines. You can see what a unit can see using a specific function in the game, which displays their Line of Sight.

Infantry AT units can also move through the line without affecting it, giving you an opportunity to ambush enemy tanks and vehicles.

Income system & Purchasing units
Purchasing units is done via a menu in game on the top left, with an indication of how much income you are receiving per minute, as well as how much you have, and the cost of bringing that unit into the battle.
Each division has a different set income per minute per phase. Similarly you can gain more income per minute by capturing enemy units. (Making them surrender)

Air support
The airsupport probably will comprise of interceptors, tactical bombers, close air support and recon planes. Each airplane will have a certain role, and fuel, which limits how long it can loiter in the battlefield.
Pilots are effected by weather in some way or another.

Unit Artificial intelligence
Units will have a self preservation AI, which means they will take cover automatically, surrender if they take too much fire, retreat if they feel like it etc. There is a suppression system, a moral system and a surrender system.

A tank doesn't necessarily need to be able to penetrate the armor of whatever they are engaging, just stress the crew out of action. You can even use machine gun fire to accomplish this.

One of the goals of Steel Division is to "minimize the micromanagement" and so "the units act as real soldiers." That unit you sent into town? They'll automatically hole up in a building if there's one reasonably nearby, rather than stand in the middle of a field and get airholed by German machine guns.

Artillery
We have only seen off-map Artillery.

Phases
There are three distinct phases, each division has strengths and weaknesses in each, depending on both the type of unit, and the number of units they can bring during that phase. Each team tally up a total score in each phase, which will count towards the end. The phases are A, B and C.

In the earlier phases, only light units will be available.
This gives light tanks & vehicles, such as Stuarts or German SPWs, a much greater role for, for some time, they will mostly fight among themselves.
And while the game unfold and move to the next phases, heavier units gets unlocked.

Hence you'll have to be smart when creating your battle group to balance the types of units you're selecting against their ETA on the battlefield: bringing only Tigers to the fight will leave you stranded with no tanks in early game.

Generally speaking a type A battle group will have major attacking strengths in the first phase, and should in the latter phases focus on stalling or holding the ground they took in phase A. Since they might not be as strong as the enemy during those phases.
The phases are supposed to be the natural progression of a meeting engagement. In the first phase you can only call in *light* units - not just infantry. This includes things like light tanks, scout cars, jeeps, infantry, etc. Later on the fight escalates to include more and more heavy weapons.

An interesting caveat is that you play as a specific division with its own strengths and unit types. In Wargame terms this would mean there are no generalized decks and you must choose a specialization.
So an Airborne deck has stronger infantry and a broader selection of units in Phase One, but in later phases they lose potency relative to other decks.
Also the income gain is different... for example an Airborne deck gets 90 points per minute in phase 1, whereas an armored deck gets 70 points per minute. Yet by phase three, an airborne deck is only getting (iirc) 115 points per minute to an armored deck's 135. This system means that lighter decks start strong and have advantages in the early games, whereas heavier decks take longer to gain strength but become more powerful overall.

Phase Overview

Phase 1 - Combat Recon
Phase 2 - Skirmish
Phase 3 - Battle

Buildings
Infantry can enter buildings for more effective line of sight, or cover. It is also hard to see through buildings so they can be used as concealment for your movement.

Fuel and Ammunition
The vehicles do not require fuel, but they do require ammunition. You should be able to call in vehicles that can replenish ammunition. Different units require different ammunition, which can complicate supply situations.

Singleplayer campaign
The singleplayer campaign will not be coop or multiplayer, it will have 3 campaigns, an american, british and a german campaign.

I believe 75 mm/ L48

That would be Panzerkampfwagen IV Ausführung B/C (or what ever...)

Not whatever I need to know exactly the size of their guns and the names.
