Honestly the only bad thing about steam(besides the DRM) is the support. Trust me EA has better support than they do, and I've brought many things on steam and not once have I asked a refund yet they refused to help me with such simple tasks as to change my contact email, for my second account.

Yes, and EA games costs about twice or thrice as much. AND have draconic DRM. Simcity 5 have, single-handledly, destroyed the little faith I had left in EA.
Again, I've needed steam support before, was serviced normally. I don't think I've ever had a problem with it - in fact, not even a single one of my friends in Steam had any problems ever.

why? i personally find steam pretty useful and didn't have no problems thus far.. if i didn't buy it from steam i'd have had to add it via the "add non-steam product" anyway since i use it as a hub to access the games i own, keeping the quick launch bar and desktop clean. And from what i could tell from the EUIV livestream thus far, Steam's multiplayer capabilities will help out alot...

You understand that you can change your contact email yourself, right? It's extremely simple. In the top left bar press Steam and then settings. The button to change contact email is right there.

As for the OP, once again someone is just misinformed. But by all means please stay away from the Steam community, it's better off without you.

If it only was that simple, the issue was I didn't manged to forget the password for steam and what email I used, for the account and trust they are awful. Avoid them like the plague, and you'l be fine.

I'm also a fan of independent installs, the old-school way of doing it, but given how intersting the multiplayer aspect of this game looks and how excited I am for it, I'll gladly add it to steam. Maybe I can attract some friends to get into it.

This is the first Paradox title I'm really almost more excited for the MP than SP.
