I hope so, it makes it much easier to install mods. Doesn't matter for me...considering I know how to install mods. But it's great to expand mods to a wider audience.

EU4 and CK2 both support it, so I'd be very surprised if HoI4 didn't as well.

PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE make a way for folks like me to obtain the game, and any major upgrades [Semper Fi, etc] ON A DISK. I will gladly pay a bit extra for this, along with shipping, just so I have a way that my game WILL WORK EVERY TIME!!!

Purchasing upgrades through online stores has been frustrating at best, to downright hateful [STEAM!!!], and after I had a HD crash, they have NEVER worked again 8>((

This shouldn't be too hard, and I cannot be the only person that likes a hard copy of everything, and is willing to pay for it.

I am willing to bet that wont be possible, the game needs to be validated online and then you might aswell use steam as it saves everything online so you wont lose the progress if you lose your HDD/SSD
Unless the devs do something that i have litterally not seen in years and release HOI 4 without the need to online validate and only need to put in a serial key.

PDS has gone with a single distribution of their games via Steam.

@ Clay, if you are having trouble with any PI games, getting them to work since your HD crash, please post in the tech support forum for said games, and or send a message to the Zendesk

I'm reading this book about Japan, and I'm wondering how hard it would be to model a longer timeline, and how hard it would be to add weights to government types that historically went to war. So after ww1 Germany would be at peace until a regime change. And before it the same for Japan and the Control Clique.

I suspect the timeline could be as easy as a simple tweak to one or two numbers, but that second one will depend a lot on how the diplomatic model works. I deffo recommend giving it a tilt, I haven't for years but enjoyed modding away in HoI1. I recommend starting small (or being part of a larger team), as there's a _lot_ of data in HoI, so doing something big and detailed is a fair commitment. I have nothing but respect for the people that put the mods out .
