I downloaded (subscribed) a significant amount of steam workshop assets, but for some reason they are not appearing in the game. When I look at the assets list in the Game menu - I can see them in there, but when I load up my city, I cannot build them.

I have started a new city and nothing.

I have also noticed lately that the Japanese garden (just to name one) sometime shows and other times isn't there, is there a limit to how many parks you can place in your city? I don't mean in the city but from the bar down the bottom, when you select items you want to place in the game? There seems to be a problem with the amount you can download. I have also download the plop able airlines and again they are not shown in the bottom bar, anyone else come across this??

I've the exact same problem here, trying to find a solution for it as well.

I've tried following:
- Restarting PC and Steam
- Unsubbing and sub to mods
- Checking Steam Settings, I've no restrictions on downloads or anything

It's not clear to me if you are getting no mods or assets at all, or some but not others.

If the former: Make sure you have Steam Cloud Sync enabled in two places - in the Steam Client overall, and for this game in particular.

There seems to be a problem with the amount you can download.
There are certainly limits on how many assets and mods the game can handle. If you unsubscribe from some, do others come down then?

Understand the limits within the game, but at the moment it seems to one day show items in the bar down the bottom and other days I can't find them. Ie the Japanese garden, one day it's there, the following day it is replaced by the dog park and vice versa. I will take a screen shot of it when I have the time over the weekend to show what is happening. I have only noticed this in the last few weeks since the latest update.

For the record, I resolved the issue.

The issue was from back when there was an update and the authors recommended everyone to launch the game with -noWorkshop parameter, at the time it didn't seem to have any effect, but in recent updates it seems they fixed it, meaning suddenly all my workshop content disappeared as described. Fixed easily by removing that parameter in the game's settings in Steam.

An idea could be to have a more clear text if you disable it "Workshop disabled" in main menu, so people would know more if it's disabled or an actual issue.

Sorry to sound silly but where about do I go to action what you have said before?? I am a tad lost at what I am needing to do?

In Steam right-click on this game and choose Properties. Click on Set Launch Options, and make sure there is nothing other than this in there:
-force-d3d9

He's saying he also had -noWorkShop in there.
