Steam Trouble

I downloaded the game from Steam and when the launcher opens up it doesn't show the two DLCs and when I click start CKII the launcher closes but the game doesnt start any suggestions or advice? I've tried reinstalling but that didn't fix it.

You sure its CK2 you installed? Steam gives you the original game too. My suggesting is shut steam down, restart it. IF the CK2 item in your library is grey, it isnt installed yet. Click on it to install it. Once installed play.

Definitely sure it's Ck2. I tried that too. I tried logging out and restarting Steam. I tried restarting my PC. The DLCs still don't show up and it still won't start. The game looks amazing and I really want to play!

I had a similar problem. Try accessing program files/steam/steamapps/common/crusader kings II and try the ck2 exe directly. When I did this there came an error that explained why I couldn't start the game, that did not show up when I used the launcher.

My problem turned out to be that I didn't have the latest direct x installed.
