I don't think you get just how angry I get when someone tells me a bold faced lie and expect to get away with it just because he's called out on the lie and promises not to continue with his lie, in fact this bold faced lie should lead to a decrease of prices, since Purchasing Power was significantly damaged since 2008 and has yet to fully recover world wide, so I guess in effect, they are still continuing the lie actually.

I think you are failing to see how the lie alone causes permanent damage in trust and goodwill, at this point I wish Paradox bankruptcy and I think with me a lot more people. No amount of groveling is going to get you back Consumer Trust or Goodwill, it's spent. Now some amount of boot-licking and give-ways will get you back some people that are less principled than I am, but for those like me that do not like to be lied too, Paradox cannot undo what it has done.

Honest greed is 1 thing to have to swallow, but cloaking your greed in a puny attempt to hide it and be seen as in a better light then you deserve, such moral failings must never be rewarded. And now any form of greed has become to much to swallow, like conveniently not putting on sale your latest DLC's because you haven't tried to milk the community enough huh Paradox ?
Not to mention they never lied about this to anyone, they said the prices were raised to equalise the cost in all regions and that is what the price increase did, which part of that is the lie you are on about? Whether you agree with the prices being raised or not is entirely separate from the facts of what happened...

So increasing prices before a sale and promising to reduce prices back after the sale is supposed to calm us down?
The post also says that those who buy during the summer sale will have the difference made up to them. Also increasing prices before a sale without about a month before the price raise is illegal under EU law.

Even if they did, so what ? that still needs to be weighted up against the minimum or average wage increases, which have stagnated or even dropped again in those respective area's. In other words, people had LESS money to spend to begin with and Paradox's entire argument basically was "well these people have more to spend since the release of the game so we can increase the price now", which is a big fat LIE. In fact, in some area's they price came down to being over the minimum wage for a month, hell in some cases you could rent a 2 bedroom apartment for a year for the cost of the game.

Why the hell are you people arguing over semantics when it absolutely doesn't matter to begin with and we still end up with Paradox just straight up lying to defend their bad decision ?
No it doesn't have to be weighted against anything, there is no obligation for any company to take anything like that into account. Whether they should or not is a different matter.

You were not lied to, you just don't understand or choose to ignore the basic mathematical and economic point of the price increase which was to take into account exchange rates and equalise the price in all regions.

You really need to calm down, just because you disagree with what they did doesn't make every person who explains what they did to you a shill and some part of a huge corporate conspiracy...
