Steam screenshots not working (Linux 2.2.1 DPOO)

OS: Ubuntu 12.04
CK2 2.2.1
Checksum: DPOO

I suspect this might be a Steam issue rather than a CK2 issue, but recently I've noticed that, when I try taking screenshots with F12, the resulting screenshot is all black.

Recently I installed the 2.2.1.1 beta before rolling back to the current 2.2.1 stable release, and I wondered if this might have been the cause of the problem. I've already tried verifying the integrity of the game cache, but I didn't see any error messages and the problem still existed.

I would have said 2.2.1.1 was actually more stable than 2.1.1 ...

But are you saying this didn't happen with, say, 2.2? Or 2.1.6?

Do non-Steam, ie CK2, screenshots work OK?

You can try a full clean re-install, file locations in Linux are in the sticky 'file location' thread above. But I doubt it would be possible for a game to affect Steam in this way - what about any other Steam games?

I don't remember ever having this problem before (or with other games), but taking a non-Steam screenshot with F11 worked. I also noticed that my checksum is CPOO.

It is normal for the checksum to decrement the first character by one each time you resign a game or crash out on an MP game. This forced MP players to exit the whole game and restart, which aids MP stability.
