Steam Pre-load is up!

Honestly, I don't do preloads. It takes less time to D/L the game when it's fully unlocked than it does to preload and then have to wait for Steam to unlock and verify the files (downloading any additional items that weren't included in the preload even on my Samsung 950 Pro NVMe). I'll just wait till tomorrow and have the game up and running faster than those who preloaded.

Good for you. Not everyone has gigabit.

Prodigy! Nice! My family had a subscription to Prodigy. It was sort of garbage, but we had it lol. I still preferred BBS back in those days.

That was just an internet pic I googled....my 14.4 was an internal.... my first ever modem was a Zoom 9600.

...and I wasn't a prodigy guy, I did a brief stint on GEnie with Air Warrior, but played mostly on T.S.N. ( later known as Imagination Network) flying ww1 sim RED BARON and playing their RPG ( cant recall name) in the early 90s.

I was able to use the Steam app on my phone to preload the game on my pc at home from work. Or at least it says it's done anyway. Hopefully, I'll be able to finalize it remotely as well tomorrow.

Didnt know about GOG till later. Trying to get Steam to work, but having nothing but issues with it. If I dont get it worked out by the 25th, I'll have to see if I cant find another way I have had prior dealings with steam, and none of them have been pleasant. Ohh well. These things happen, cant let it raise my blood pressure

Nothing stopping you from refunding the Steam version and buying it at GOG.

That is why i am trying to get it figured out with steam. If I cant get it worked out with them by the 25th, I will have it refunded and go with GOG. I didnt realize that I had also received a key for the shadow hawk pack as well. Kinda excited about that. It is a lesson learned and I wont be forgetting. I honestly would have paid an extra $15-$20 extra just to have it put on a CD and sent to me, but mehh. Im just not up with the times I guess.

In case that's not common knowledge: The rest of backerkit goodies (artbook, wallapapers, OST) is now downloadable. Seems the ShadowHawk skin is also there and we will need to redeem it in-game.

You cannot pre-load using the Paradox launcher, no. If you bought from the Paradox store though you also get a Steam key so you an pre-load there.
