Steam hijacking game

Every time I click on the icon to play CK2, all I get is a pop up to stream.

Any ideas on how to solve this so I can actually play the game?

You could launch it from within steam, or you could navigate to the game directory (in program files, steam, common, crusader kings 2....) and double click the exe file.

Where is that game directory please?

Assuming you actually have the Steam version, it would be something like:

C:\Program Files\Steam\steamapps\common\Crusader Kings II

A small heads up. If you buy any DLC, make sure to launch through Steam after purchase. Preferably from the steam library. Otherwise it'll act really weird. After that you can fire up the game directly with no issues, but always do it through Steam after a DLC purchase.
