steam: game is currently unavailable

I`ve bought and installed Rome gold on Steam, but whenever I try to launch the game from the Steam library, I receive a message stating that "the game is currently unavailable".
I`ve reinstalled it various times, with no changes. How do I solve it?

Try using the Steam client option to Verify Game Cache or whatever they call it.
If that doesn't help you'll have to contact Steam about problems with their installer.
