Hello All,

I have been trying with no luck for quite some time to get the DLC to work on my Mac.

My problem is all DLC appears checked on launch, but does not load once I am at the title screen.

After consulting multiple forums with threads started by others having similar issues, I have reinstalled (manually deleted all files etc) a number of times, tried unchecking all DLC, launching, exiting and then rechecking all DLC, accessed the Ingame Steam community to authorize the browser, and more. The only thing I can think of that I haven't tried is manually accessing each DLC folder, unzipping, and distributing the content to folders with the CK2 files. At this point, after spending so many hours on this I'd like to refrain from doing that unless someone could confirm that would work beyond almost all doubt. Woof.

I am really at a road block, as some of these methods have worked for others, but none for me.

One thing to note is my Steam client continues to say that their is a client update from Oct 30th after i've installed and restarted steam countless times now. If anyone thinks that may be involved with issues regarding the DLC and has any info on how to fix that, please let me know (I've looked everywhere for that as well and have come up with nothing)

Thanks for all your time guys!

No, there should be no need to manually unzip the DLC files.

That last bit seems to be saying you have a Steam issue. My client on both PC and Mac have successfully updated to the Oct 30 version. But can you confirm that Steam is in online mode, and Steam Cloud Saves are enabled?

Failing that we may have to contemplate a full clean reinstall of Steam itself.

Steam is online and Cloud Saves are enabled. It's strange because it will completely download the update, shutdown the Steam application after saying it will automatically restart, but then nothing- no message saying it didn't work etc and upon opening Steam back up, I'm left at square one. I'm completely open to a full clean reinstall of Steam and hopefully that'll do the trick! Thanks- I'll post what I find out!

UPDATE:

Looks like that did it- for some reason I didn't think a client update would be the cause, but thanks for helping me get to the bottom of it!
