Steam BETA Patch v1.101 now live - checksum [JERN]

I'm not going waste my time digging the original post up, but a few months prior to the CK2 release date one of the devs basically said that there probably won't be any beta patches and if there are any, they will be released for Steam customers only because a large majority of the Paradox customers buys their games with Steam. I'm not entirely sure, but if correct Johan wrote that in the same thread that also announced the new modular dlc system. So no, this isn't really a surprise for those who have followed the development of CK2 before it was released.

Anyway, I'm happy with the reintroduction of (short) beta patches as this gives the modders an extra week to prepare. I would have been happier if the patches were also released for the GG users like me, but I knew beforehand that this group wouldn't get any beta patches so I don't have that much of a problem with it.

I'm kind of glad (having a GG version of CKII) that i'm not a beta-tester for any patches, i'm happy with getting a patch once it is fully tested and good to go.

So I post this question with little hope it will get answered but:

Did you consider making defensive attrition apply to all other faiths? The way I (and some others we discussed it with) see it, it should make it very unlikely for Finnish, Pommeranian, or Baltic pagans to disappear from conquest by other pagans, while not making it impossible. I don't really see cons of that solution other than perhaps a lot of work with code. Is it a lot of work with code, did you not think of it at all, or why wouldn't you go that way?
Or make it moddable - please.

Hard to believe that one character can affect whole 400-500 years of mechanics this way -especially if you consider that, afaik, he didn't really finish the unification.

I converted those islands west of africa back to generic paganism through ''religion x pagan'' and the game didn't crash. And it's in 1.10.

Should I? I tried with Russian "prince" titles before, they ignored it, saying that making it right will confuse people. I can only hope some mod fixes Helgi/Oleg innacuracy. ;(

I'd say it's worth a shot, though to be fair I don't think they really bother with the public bug forum much nowadays. I've not seen a developer post there for a long time.

Unfortunately, the north African muslims usually hire them. The Ghanan band should probably be restricted to the Mande or perhaps control of provinces in Ghana and Songhay. These mercs were obviously added to give the African factions a chance, but it doesn't work when they can be (and very often are) hired by the Berbers.
