You can find the local cache of your Steam cloud files at ~/Library/Application Support/Steam/userdata/<your account id>/255710/remote
In that folder, you should find the save files you have previously done on the cloud, copy them to a safe place so you can always copy those back to your local save folders if you want to.
Then in the main menu of the game, open the Content Manager, in the Save games tab, you should see your cloud files (they will show a little cloud next to the delete button on the right). Click the delete button and it should remove the file from the cloud, hence freeing some memory. Try to remove a couple of them and attempt to save a game again, if it works, then it is a problem with disk space. (Also we are working on adding a proper out of space error message in the next patch)
Please note deleting or adding files directly in the Steam remote folder has no effect on the files actually located on the cloud, the only way to actually delete the save from the cloud is to do it from the Content Manager.

Reporting: Old saves load well, all glitches i had with 1.07b are gone saving, relaoding - all seems perfect - thx again for the great and very fast fixing (OS is W7-64 here)

where do download the bloody patch at
Right click your game in the Steam library and select Properties, then Betas.

Enter the password chirpyfanclub, press Check CODE, it will say it is valid and then in the beta list, you will have a new entry called "closedbeta", select it, close the properties. Wait for a little bit and steam will start the automatic update. After that, play normally! :)

Oh, I just realize you want to put a version number next to your saves.. Currently, you can only do that when you write the name of the save in the save panel.

Ok, thank you, It doesn't really matter for the old saves as the "save build number" matches that of the internal save name, I will just do the version number in the new saves and they should match up with what is saved internally.
Don't suppose further down the track (when you get some free time :p ) we could get the ability to "rename" our save games actually in the game?

:D That's the problem, as per my screenshot.
The code is invalid, the closed beta does not become available, but Moo posted (or edited his post) earlier to say it was closed for now.

EDIT: Temporarily shut down the beta branch, we will be back!

Edit: Oh wait... what... hmmm.
I tried it after reading your post and nothing, same as before... but I just tried it again after posting, before closing the window and it worked this time.

2) Load Game then load save
3) Wait a minute or two then exit to main menu without saving
4) Load the same save game a second time

1.07c testing reporting in with flawless execution, save games work fine, all manner of downloaded assets seem to work from buildables to growables, about 20 mods (none touching in-game AI or anything) all operating brilliantly

Cannot exit from Map editor.

Steps to reproduce:
(A)
1) Load a 1.07b map
2) Save said map (with new snapshot) (so it saves as 1.07c)
3) Try exiting to main menu or desktop..
4) Fails to exit...

End Task

(B)
1) Load new 1.07c map
2) Try exiting to main menu or desktop.. (no saving this time)
3) Fails to exit...

(C)
1) Try to load ANY map (while still in map editor (after doing (B))
2) Fails to load any map

I deleted several Steam Cloud saved games using the Content Manager in-game. I was able to successfully save a game using 1.07c to Steam Cloud.

I missed the 1.0.7b update (too busy in RL to play game), so I don't know if this is worth posting, but this patch seems to work fine for me. Thumbs up! (New forum s/w should come with a thumbs up emoticon, darn it.)
