Please guys, don't make this thread a debate one about steam, there are already enough of those around.
Since it seems that steam will become quite mandatory in the future,i'm preparing myself, so I just have a question for steam users of paradox games that just stroke my mind:
What about save compatibility and auto patching? You know, paradox games are usually not the kind of game you do in one afternoon, especially in MP. And very often, savegames do not work with the next patch. Is it a better idea to turn off the auto patching? Is there a pop up in steam that tells you " hey dude, U sure U want to do that and put da patch on da PC , it's going to run ya savegames, yo." (i'm using a cool accent for steam, because they seem to be really cool in the moment). How to you guys deal with it?
Or since paradox is going steam for the auto patching, can we expect a retro compatibility ( not sure about this word, my english is failing me ) of savegames? I don't know if it's technically possible :/
