I have a HOI3 CD key which used to be registered with Paradox. I gather all games are playing through Steam now? I bought a HOI3 DLC through Steam but I get a truncated version of the game and I can't even see an option in the Paradox account to register the base game even though it is listed in "My Games". So do I start over & let Steam handle things or can someone point me in the right direction?

We have updated our Community Code of Conduct. Please read through the new rules for the forum that are an integral part of Paradox Interactive’s User Agreement.
It wasn't until CK2 that all Paradox Games were Steam exclusive, IIRC.

We don't use keys to register Steam games any more.
Go into
https://accounts.paradoxplaza.com/settings
and connect to your Steam account, then
https://forum.paradoxplaza.com/forum/index.php?account/owneditems
and hit Sync Owned Items.
Thanks for the replies. I went to my forum profile clicked on owned games which correctly listed the classic games in my old account, hit sync, then went back to Steam/HOI3 & seems to work. If that wasn't what did it then I may have been too dense to realize the campaign game was hidden in the little button on the bottom right, or it may have been hidden by the steam overlay/warning of needing a key. I take this opportunity to ask a question. I bought DLCs on ParadoxPlaza and I sync it with Steam but it takes 20 years to complete. Is this normal?
PS: After all, I just bought the Collection Pack so it gathers all the DLCs up until 2017 so it might be normal. I have a good co + PC and it lasts for 2 hours. It seems long but I want to be sure that it's not a bug.

No. But you appear to have synced successfully, judging by the icons under your name here?
And here I am, with GoG-provided key for HoI3 and I keep getting either the message about invalid code or being unable to redeem it. Meanwhile the help ticket is hanging for two days and it really starts getting on my nerve at this point.
Game runs fine. Forum, like in the old times, is malfuncting when you try to register just about anything (I spend half of an afternoon to get EUIV registered and that was a Steam version). Wouldn't be a problem, if BIce forum wasn't locked for non-registered users.

Same here, I've got the HoI3 Complete Edition on CD and cannot redeem the games with the Collection and TFH keys. Wouldn't care either, if it wasn't for BIce. Reminds me of the torturerous attempt to install a mod for Vae Victis back in 2014, when I complained about the whole keys and forum registering mess. Paradox apparently still has not fixed this annoying system.

I suppose it requires a virgin sacrifice at this point. 4 days and still being unable to either register or get any sort of reply from just about anywhere. And the waiting time is "72 hours". Which I swear was 48 by early December.
Worst part is - I've got BIce files saved, but those are from 2014 and the mod obviously grown and expanded since then, so all I've got now is waiting for a wonder to happen.

For non-Steam games, please lodge a support ticket at paradox.zendesk.com . Supply the code you are trying to use.

I already did that few days ago. Still waiting for just about any sort of reaction, including "We are currently experiencing high traffic" or something similar, instead of learning about it by chance now. Would be really nice to know why either the redeeming system doesn't work or the ticket hangs as if there was nobody managing the helpdesk, instead of being in a void about all of it.
