I think QFT isn't in DANT.QFT
I don't give a crap about this acheivement stuff and cloud saves, and I play willpower ironman anyway.
You think wrong, young grasshopperI think QFT isn't in DANT.![]()
- "TBD" - "to be determined", most often used when the release date or content is not yet known or not yet public information.
- "QFT" - "quoted for truth", used to describe content, primarily textual in nature, with which the poster agrees or which the poster supports to be true.
- "FTW" - can most often mean two things...
Oh, didn't see that, sorry! You think wrong, young grasshopper![]()
Liamgamer55, I remember you complaining about the steam and gamersgate versions when that beta patch came out on steam, too.
You always whine about how you're persecuted or something...find a better usage of your time maybe?
Well they could give you guys the keys for Steam (assuming majority of users want to switch). I mean if indie games can do that thru indie bundles and stuff without incurring extra costs from Steam, i think Paradox could make a similar deal with Valve. It would be fair imho.
On topic, Paradox had previously made their preference for Steam well known (wasn't here for that particular argument, so I didn't participate in it). Making the conscious decision to buy from GG (who are the ONLY retailers to sell the non-Steam copy) means that you specifically wanted the non-DRM copy.
Please do not ask liamgamer to find a better usage for [his] time. Some of us remember what happened the last time.

(No, you were right, I just added it in, based on your suggestion :] )Oh, didn't see that, sorry!![]()

You have the full content you paid for, nothing has been taken away from you. The fact that other people are getting more for nothing is not a penalty on you, it doesn't affect you in the slightest. They are getting a bonus, you are not getting a penalty. If they want to keep features from me? That had not been named when we bought the game? Not the whole game, but at least not having to pay another 50 or so € to have the complete game I paid for.
...
I paid as much as the other guy (probably way more, without Steam Sales), I want the same content.
Such as?... then I want some kind of help, here.
No it's not. When frequent flyers get free flights, do you have a right to them too? When a customer gets a free gift for being the 100,000th person through the door, are you being penalised by not getting that same gift? No, you are not. And you have no right in any consumer law in any country to insist you do.It's basic consumer's rights

If we're going to get correctly semantic, you are utterly wrong here. There is nothing in "bonus" or "penalty" that implies minority. As an example, everyone in my company gets a bonus if we make our numbers, 100% of us (or none). If we're going semantic, since GG users are a minority and they aren't getting something that the majority, the Steam users get, the GG users are, in fact, being penalised. "Bonus" and "penalty" are applicable only if they apply to a minority.
More like, there are two DVD versions sold in seperate stores (since if it's a BD you'll probably need a different device to play the content, not to mention cost differences), but at the beginning they had the same content. This is quite frankly the same as someone would go buy a movie and buy it on DVD then later the BD version is announched that has more content. Then the DVD people start to demand that they should get the BD disc for free because they already bougth the DVD version.
Hm. If we're going semantic to the max, he is currently in an unpleasant experience suffered as a result of his buying of a GG version. If we're going to get correctly semantic, you are utterly wrong here. Same for:
pen·al·ty
/ˈpenltē/
Noun
A punishment imposed for breaking a law, rule, or contract.
A disadvantage or unpleasant experience suffered as the result of an action or circumstance.
Regardless of the numbers you are insisting it is a "basic consumer right" that you ought to get something that some other customers have been offered for nothing. It is not. You are wrong in law, in custom, in practice, in every possible way when you make that claim. If I am a frequent flyer, I have a right to them to. The gift makes no sense, because it's not 1 in 100,000 getting the bonus - but 95% or more. It's more like I enter in a shop and the casher tells me that I am the 666th person through the door, so I get to pay the full price on every offer in the shop.

I agree with the general sentiment of the post, though. It's extremely silly.
Dangit! You tricked me, master!(No, you were right, I just added it in, based on your suggestion :] )
Don't worry, I forgive you, young one!
Not really as currently Steam and GG are two different systems offering the game. So my example fits quite nicely. The Steam version already used Steam Community In-Game function that even allows you to take pictures directly to Steam. So there was already difference from the start. In short this is just one step forward.
Ah, you'll yet learn the tricks of deceit!Dangit! You tricked me, master!
