Status update on the Greek portraits?

I'm curious to know how far along is the Greek portrait DLC? I've been eager to get my hands on that ever since we've seen them in the LOR dev diaries. I'm aware we've been told on patch day that they were not ready yet, but has there been any news as to when they would be? If not, perhaps we could get a comment on that?

They aimed to I believe, but my understanding is that the work wasn't as good as they wanted it. Many people asked for more "epic" beards and such, perhaps that's why they wanted to put more effort into it, I dunno... I just hope we won't have to wait till 1.08 to enjoy it, though. Because right now, the Byzantines look pretty German to me, and that's not any better

It was meant to be released then, but due to unforeseen delays or something it was postponed. But to be honest, I think it was best that we get black Africans before Greek Greeks.

It's not just Greeks, it'll be a Southeast European portrait DLC in general.

As I said in another thread you can clearly see that they have three DLC's that they were working on that they didn't release when LOR was released. Songs of Byzantium was DLC #17 and African Portraits is #13. So there was three DLC's that they didn't release. This might mean that the portrait pack is not one DLC but several.

Interesting.

Though it could be simply because the African portraits were originally supposed to go out with the next DLC (and its own songs and units mini DLCs), but then it would make more sense for it to be #17 and the Songs of Byzantium #13...

Anyhow, I doubt we're getting 3-4 more DLCs in the short term, but there's still hope we might get our Greek/Mediterranean portraits soon, I hope.

I'm confident they'll release it eventually. And yeah, the alpha preview screenshots sorely lacked beards so I presume they are making lots of beards right now.

Not really brah. Africans portraits should of been released at the same time as the sprites. The DLC shuffle is all messed up with this game, they should hire more people to keep up with the demand.
