For roleplaying and AAR purposes, it would be nice to have statistics of MP losses of battles. There already is a "Land battles" statistic in HOI2, so adding this feature shouldn't be too hard. And maybe do a cumulative statistic for every country as well, while you're at it :D

Attrition and trickleback modifiers should be accounted for.

Any thoughts?

Thats alot of recording and extra memory and CPU usage, maybe as an option it would be good, but on smaller systems it would just bring the game to a crawl. I have a computer that would handle that with ease but I often use much much slower computers at my friends and grandmas house and even HOI2 is kind of slow this feature would probably cause alot of CTDs on older computers.

Can you re explain that one?
A ledger with total number of losses I take it. Like they have in EU2 where you can see how many people you have lost total to attrition and combat over the years.
There's already losses for ships in HOI2, extending this to all types of units would be nice. Especially if the ledger is kept very simple; I never really liked the naval one since it included every nation in the world. :p

yea, I had to read that one real slow because I thought MP stood for multi-player and I was like "what?"

I see why that can be confusing. ;)
But concerning that it might slow down the game I'm not so sure. It's not alot to keep track of; it's basically just storing a bunch of numbers. HOI2 was slow due to the amount of processes being handled by the AI each and every turn, which makes the game slow even on modern computers during the later stages of the game.

I'd love to see it, I'm under the impression Paradox has an objection. It would make a useful tool in seeing how different countries are doing.

How many planes have been brought down, how many civilians have been lost, have the Soviets passed a 1M combat dead yet?

As an option to turn the feature off shouldn't be hard.

Yep. Seen it already.

So? We had statistics in EU2, then none in HoI 1, CK and Vicky, then just a bit more after that. If we want them back, we have to bring up the issue again and again and again.

Statistics are a great atmosphere creator. Ok, that sounds funny, but it's true.
