Hello everyone

I have a question regarding the static modifers game file where you can change the modifiers for yourself and the ai. I recently started playing hoi3 again and want to play on hard difficulty but the IC boost that the ai gets means that it runs out of manpower very early. I am trying to modify the file so that the AI gets a manpower and officer recruitment boost to compensate. I have tried added in those two lines to the text file but it does not seem to have any effect.

Code:
hard_ai = {
	global_ic = 0.25
	global_resources = 0.25

	supply_consumption = -0.25

	supply_throughput = 0.25
	naval_base_efficiency = 0.25

	global_manpower_modifier = 0.25
	officer_recruitment = 0.25
}

Is there something wrong with that code? If you modded your own file what does it look like?

Thanks :)

global_manpower_modifier = is ok. But maybe try 0.5
It "only" boosts the mp you get per day, so the effect needs some time to show effect.
Alternative:
You could make a event(decision) which gives mapower and triggers for specific ai nations only.

Code:
 diplomatic_decisions = {

    Manpower = {
        potential = {
            ai = yes
        }
        allow = {
        not = { has_country_flag = Manpower }
        }
        effect = {
            set_country_flag = Manpower
            manpower = 500
        }
        ai_will_do = {
            factor = 1
        }
    }
}
