So I recently started making my own static galaxy and getting the normal empires to work wasn't too difficult but I'm at a loss when it comes to fallen empires in static galaxies.

From my understanding, Fallen empires spawn their own star clusters AFTER the game starts so thats probably where my problem is rooted. I managed to copy paste an event from another mod that get fallen empires to spawn in the static galaxy just fine. The problem is (due to the way they spawn I assume) these fallen empires will spawn in a different location every time.

If anyone has any advice to get them to spawn in the same SPECIFC spot in the static galaxy every time it would be greatly appreciated.

If the system map is the same for every game (my understanding of static galaxy), couldn't you set flags in certain systems and refer to those in the empire spawn event?

That was what I tried at first but unfortunately, fallen empires create their own star cluster when spawning regardless of what is defined in the static galaxy. Trying to get it to spawn via an initializer in the static galaxy just causes the game to crash while loading a new game.

could you set up a thing where the star systems for each fallen empire are fairly random and then have spaces for the fallen empires to fall into? Is there any factors of the fallen empire system spawning that you -can- control?

Could you elaborate? I mean I could probably control some of the things initialized in the fallen empire home systems but Im not exactly sure what you're suggesting I do.

Do fallen empires not spawn when you include fallen empire solar system initializers and allow fallen empires to spawn during galaxy setup?

Including the fallen empire initializer in the galaxy directory causes the game to crash when starting a new game so I have to have them spawn their own stars via an event. I don't know why the fallen empire initializer causes the game to crash but if you know of a way to spawn the fallen empires through the galaxy directory without the game crashing please tell me.

(and yes btw I did remember allow fallen empires in galaxy setup)

You might need to create your own custom initializers to spawn fallen empires, actually. But it should be possible to do it entirely in the init_effect of the solar system initializer, rather than having to use an event for it. (If the event solution works, however, I would just use that and not worry about it lol).

If you really want it as a stand-alone initializer, take a look at how it works with Marauders, when marauder systems spawn they spawn their own country along with them. Most of the fallen empire create_country stuff is hidden in Stellaris\common\fallen_empires.

Hope this helps! You can also check out the Modding den or the Modding subforum if you need more help. :D

like, I don't know how this works exactly. Do they just, randomly generate the systems you place down? Or do they place entirely new star systems in a random empty part of the galaxy? or what?
