Starting Game web API

Is it possible to have a web api that would return as response something similar to what we have in the multiplayer browser in-game? A list of starting games. It is a bit annoying to have to launch the game to see if a game is starting soon.

The game uses the Steamworks API to query for lobbies and as far as I know that has no web interface. There is also https://api.paradox-interactive.com/pdxmp/servers but I believe it is (if at all) only used for non-Steam clients and similar to Steam requires authentication that is likely only available from within the game.

Thanks, ill explore the steamworks api, I wonder if it can be used by steam users or if it needs to be used by a game with developer key.
