frequent pausing
Yes, I will second this for the "wave of small armies" technique. You will pause early and often if you want to succeed.

To really stick it to the AI, have 500 stacks of light cavalry make a dash deep into the enemy's territory, somewhere near their capital if possible. Usually AI armies will converge to protect the capital territory and so you really can get a lot of territory taken while it chases your few light cavalry around.

AI use of mercenaries can be painful occasionally with this strat. But, if you hoard up some coin from city sacks by your capital-region levies, you can just bribe them when they kill one of your small stacks.

No easy mode required remotely.

Playing with the kingdom of Antigonids is one of the greatest challenges because from the very beginning we have a series of wars with all our neighbors who are not our puppets. This is due to the successor kingdom wars events. So we actually have a war with Macedon from the very beginning, which will almost certainly be joined soon by both the Seleucids and Egypt. We also have a fourth opponent Thrace on top of that. As a consolation I will write that Antigonids have a relatively powerful legion in Greece led by a great general. The legion and the mercenary army should wipe Macedonia off the map without any problems. Meanwhile, in the south it is relatively easy to block Egypt near Suez. Egypt has a narrow passage there. Egyptian landings in Syria may be a problem if their fleet is not stopped in time. Sometimes it happens that the AI turns on the "landing" mode and then drops off several units where maybe, which is actually frustrating. A greater threat than Egypt are the Seleucids who have a large open border with us and a fairly powerful army and money for mercenaries. It is also possible that Thrace will join the attack on us, it is not strong, however, Thracian attacks by Helespont may irritate and distract from the main theater of operations. Suffice it to say that the Antigonids are relatively the most powerful kingdom of Successors with a mass of puppet states. However, I do not advise you to rely on them because many of these countries may turn away from you quite quickly and refuse to help.

It easy, can be done in 4-5 years, max 2 years for Macedon and Thrace and rest for Egypt and Seleucid, but you have to play good
