Starting a newbie game, some questions

Well, I think I will pass up on this (sorry it's at short notice), but I just can't motivate myself to play HOI in SP, let alone MP.

(OTOH, HOI2 might be more my style if it means less micro-managing units in war, and a simpler research system).

I kinda feel the same way (also regarding HoI2), but I'll give it a shot...

Oh, all my practicing has been like starting up the game, playing for two months, CTD, get bored, turn off comp .

Bad, bad news: I got a meeting tomorrow (a pretty important one) at the time of the game. So I will not be able to play (and I guess, it will be better you got another UK). Sorry for only saying now, but the meeting was decided just now.

Almost all of my close friends, regular friends, almost friends, I-vaguely-know-them-friends, I-know-them-but-they-do-not-know-me-friends and so forth have left town for the summer so I think I have the possibility to stand in tonight. Preferably as an Allied minor (you need a permanent UK-player).

I'm willing to try this out. My only problem is that in the case I'll really hate it (like I did in our little test), then it would suck for me to keep playing... and it wouldn't be nice to just quit either...

The wars are really nice; don't worry .

Its just a huge adjustment in regards to EU2.

Yeah but it will be a long while before any *big* wars when we start in 1936, probably... oh well, we'll see.

Aren't you playing Italy already?

If we drop one Allied player (as we lost two it seems), i suggest getting rid of US dissent.

Maybe Adam can join? HOI is unlike EU, here's not so important to have really permanent players. Stand in are as good-as its not so long-term and diplomatic game.
