Weekly Game Update
We had 6 players this weekend. Game speed was set to Very Slow for most of the game. Had a lot of lag issues do to every player nation being involved in global conflicts with some heavy super powers. We played from November 15th 1895 to July 2nd 1898.
The players this session:
A lot of fighting, I’m talking global war. Everyone was fighting everyone. You should see some pretty exciting AARs.

You are always welcome, where have ya been. We've given up on ya, figured you weren't coming back. You might want to read some AARs to catch up on all the current events and new players. Also, you are currently at war with Russia, France, Spain and Italy. You lost land to Scandinavia and WP Austria, I dont think Austria got any land from ya, not sure.

King as long as you do not take anything from the UK home island all is fine with me. I will need to take some claims from Greece as they do not want to trade them.
Hey Drake! Nice to have another Dutch player. You are currently winning a war against the French, but since Spain and Russia have actively joined the war that probably wont last long. Please try and get peace with France as soon as you join the game.

Hey, Drake : About that land, it was only five worthless Egyptian provinces. Germany DOWed the UK at an inconvenient moment, which frankly was rather fortunate for your African army, which I was about to surround and annihilate. No hard feelings, I hope?

As Prime said, we should work out a solution to this current war before you flee the state. What were your war goals, can you offer any suggestions on what we can do to make a reasonable peace without leaving it up to the AI.

since the AI Will immediately offer peace that Dom will hate i say we ghost and WP Netherlands will eventually lose considering the size of the coalition agaisnt it. so lets WP which is better than Dom will get with the AI run France and better than the dutch will get if we have to fight it out.
Why don't you let AI france do whatever peace it offers, and Dom can just take it back later. The years between peace will give him enought time for him and the Coalition to prepare for a counter invasion.

hey maybe you can help me with my problem. Its 1870, i'm the USA and the Spanish-American War is on. I accidently let Spanish transports land troops on my mainland. Some 40,000 or so land in main and take bangor before i even notice. I dispatch my army in new york to wipe them out. (1 eng, 1 art, 3 reg). I outnumber them, my general is pretty good, i have battleships off the coast of Maine supplying me with shore bombardment, yet they kick my ass. I can't explain it. I have all of the army tech you're allowed to research before 1900, but they beat me. I reinforced my army with another from Illiniois, the same size, and attack again 100,000 vs 40,000 and i'm still losing more men at a faster pace then them. I wiped out their fleet, took Cuba, and Puerto Rico and was about to land my Army of California invade the Philipines, yet the army on the mainland is beating me. What the hell is going on?

easiest way is check combat efficiency during combat. If your efficiency is low while theirs is high, you may lose. You will lose given equal number, tech, leader, and troop experience.
Dips and AARs: I am out of practice and to tell you the truth i take inspiration from what others write. So I read what they write then write my own.
As far as France taking a AI peace? you wouldn't say that if it were your country. If he was going to be here i would not have suggested it. France can and will win this war especially with coalition forces behind them he just has to wait it out. But the AI will cut and run.
Also the game time is running out there isn't a lot of time to run around trying to get back what you lost. Russia is in desperate haste to regain her released territories.

I wanted the southern part (the French part of Belgium back).. But this war has taught me how frigging hard it is to fight a land war with an equal strength AI nation... Not doing that again, as the lag makes it really hard to use any advantages plus the normal force loss from lagged commands...
At current the storm is slowing some... It may be possible to get in some game time before the storm hits, but that will be a wait and see type of thing... It also may still turn north and miss us... If you don't here from me though it will be because of a loss of power and will mean I won't be back in time...

Spain fully supports Russia in her efforts to reunite the Motherland and shall give militairy aid if needed.
Well well well... The storm took a small northerly jog in the 24 hours before landfall... That jog spared us hurricane force winds and we seem to have kept our power (great thanks for that going to the power company who must have replaced some things after Frances, cause we used to lose power in just stiff winds)... But:
It did make landfall in the EXACT same place as Frances did and you have to feel horrible for those people from Jupiter and Stuart and all the way up to Melbourne, Florida who have now been in the worst parts of two storms... Not to mention Haiti, the Bahamas, Granada and Cuba and every were else damaged by all these storms this year... I hope this season is done, as its done more than enough damage...

no shit! this huricane season keeps pounding the caribean area... it seems pretty bad this year
